DD is 17 months.
She is obsessed with babies and dolls (which she already has lots of!)
She just adores them.
Anyway, taking this into consideration, we thought that a dolls pram would be the perfect christmas gift this year.
I just cant seem to find one under $60!!
Are they really that dear?
I mean a proper pram, not a stroller.
Anyone know where i can get one for less?

Sorry cant help you with suggestions where to buy but wanted to let you know that both my girls were given good quality prams by their Gran at around age 2. Best present ever. They are now 5 and 7 and still play with them! If you can I would try and buy a good quality one that is going to last. Maybe some other family members could chip in?

We got two of these for play group, 200 kids a week play with them and they still look brand new.

We got my girl a Valco one (on sale for about $80) she plays heaps with it still a year later and it has held up to having her and brother ride in it! Worth the money its well made and looks good. They come from the specialist toy places rather than the chain toy stores

We got or daughter a Baby Alive pram, it can recline or sit up and comes with a little basket underneath the pram. It also came with a little carry bag that you can attach onto the handle of the pram and a baby carry bed for inside the pram that you can leave in or remove. It was $39 from Target last year. I'm pretty sure I've recently seen a similar one in Kmart (same price but not the same brand). Otherwise Myer always seem to have an Esprit pram in their toy catelogues coming up to Christmas. Or Toys R Us seem to have an ok selection too.

DD is two, and has already gone through 2 plastic strollers .... all it seems to take is for one kid to decide to sit in it and it's gone!

It's one of the cheapest I have seen in wood (and not gross colours!). I think for a nice proper pram then under $80 is a good budget, but i am sure you can get plastic ones like this one:

much cheaper. It does seem hard to find the traditional "pram look" for a good price, as opposed to the stroller styles.

The $6 from Kmart work well for us. Even after having a 15+kg child sitting in them they are still going strong. I can't see the point in anything more expensive at this point.
