Possessions are Nine Points of Conversation
Hmm, for me family is family and friends are friends.

I love my family to bits, as family. And some of my friends I love almost as much, but most of them are just friends. Perhaps one is in the nature of family - and my family consider her in that way too.

After the rubbish my extended family has put on my childhood immediate family since my sister died I would say my friends are my family and most of my family can go and get ^&%$#@.

My biological family are good when the going is easy but when it gets tough they run away or worse pretend you don't exist. They wonder why we barely speak to most of them now.

It's funny as we were closer to mum's side when we were growing up now I am closer to dad's side as they are the ones that haven't tried to forget the fact that my sister has died. Mum's side can go and &^%$ themselves for all I care rant.gif Yet once we were so close and saw them almost every week. I call them the 'good time family' as they were there for the good times but not the bad times.

My immediate family are my friends, totally. I love hanging out with them. My Mum is one of my closest friends wub.gif Aside from my husband, she is the first person I want to talk to when I get good or bad news, and we can natter for hours! I would totally choose her and my Dad as friends if we weren't related, and my siblings are fabulous too.

We don't live in the same state as our extended family.

My mum is one of my closest friends...

And my sister is pretty cool, though she can get under my skin a lot more than a standard friend can.

And there are friends that I would do just about anything for so...

My mother was my best friend.

I have many close friends, but only a couple I would consider family.

Now my DH is the closest person on this earth to me. But then all my immediate family are gone. unsure.gif

My mum and my sister I would consider my closest friends...we have many similar interests and enjoy doing things together. My dad and my brother I love dearly we don't have much in common and don't really get past small chat when we catch up.
