I do wonder if she'd always get called Emily or have to repeat her name.

Nope, she will be forever getting called Amelia as people never read to the end of the name and "guess" the ending wink.gif

I disike Cleo. It will forever be a trashy teen mag to me.

Amelie by a mile. Cleo reminds me of a cat or a car.

Much prefer Amelie and agree with holy_j about pronunciation.

I also feel that Cleo just has a bit of a tacky vibe, perhaps by association with the magazine.

Thanks, everyone! biggrin.gif Definitely a mixed bag of responses. No one clear preference out there. And thanks heaps holy_j for the pronunciation description for Amelie. You explained it much better than I did.

No one has commented on Millie as short for Amelie. Maybe I just like Millie on it's own? Interesting to hear feedback on Cleo. I think its one of those names people either love or hate. unsure.gif

Thanks again, and keep the feedback coming!

I prefer the name Amelie to Cleo, but I prefer cleo in a sibset with Archie.

Not a fan of Millie at all, it's the one thing that really puts me off Amelie as a name.

We know a little Amelie, nickname Millie. I don't think I've ever heard anyone mispronounce her name (tbh I assumed most people would have heard of amelie after the movie?). I much prefer it to Cleo and think it sounds great With Archie original.gif good luck and congrats original.gif

I really like Cleo. It goes well with Archie, though as a PP said they will live separately after 18 years..
