I am just so sleep deprived I am starting to feel irrational, and get irritated with the boys at the slightest thing which I know is wrong, but I am just struggling to put one foot in front of the other at the moment.

Help!

How long is he sleeping of a night? Do you have anyone who can give you a night off? I often find an afternoon nap takes the edge off my tiredness. Sleep deprivation sucks, sorry I can't offer something helpful. But hope you get some good sleep soon.

How old are your boys? It might be time to take a tougher approach to sleeping if you haven't already tried. My second dd was such a bad sleeper, we did some controlled crying with her a 2 yo as the sleep deprivation was severe. I still think I am suffering from that time actually, my health is just starting to recover.

Yes, perhaps you need to be tougher with the sleep issues.

Before you tackle it though, do you have anyone who could look after them for a few hours so you can get some rest?

Thank you - I nearly cried in relief when I read your posts - someone who 'gets it'.
I got flamed this morning for saying how much I'd like the screaming to stop in the early morning.

I will talk to family about having a 'night off'.

thank you again - very much

You definately sound like you need a break. even a nights break might be all you need to feel a heap better. Hope your family can help you out.

I know when my DD was waking up at 5.30 every morning, i was a zombie, so i know what it feels like.

Could you consider using child care a couple of times a week so that you can have a sleep during the day?
