As it turned out, I got him up eventually and he sat quite happily next to me in my bed. The hard part though was that the screaming just didn't stop, no matter what I tried.

it's 9am he is probably starving hungry. My kids are up everyday wanting breakfast at 6am.

He started at about 5.30am. What I wouldn't give for just a little more sleep....

Yep, it sounds like he was ready to start his day. Does he still have a nap? I would try and get through the morning and go to sleep when he goes down.

5:30am is early, I always find it easier to handle when they wake up any time after 6am. On those days when they wake early I tend to find that I do get alot done around the house with those extra few hours!!

put some board books in his cot, maybe some blocks? he might hapilly sit in there for a little while longer LOL I did that with DD

is it only a dream that there'll be no more turning away?
I hate the pre-dawn toddler risings. The bonus with only one is that you can nap when he goes down though!
