And other joke names you've told your parents while pregnant! While we called our daughter Monique, we didn't actually tell people we were spelling it Moneek (that was just to get you to open the thread, he he he!)

But we did tell my parents we were considering:

Pstephanie (with a silent p)

and for the boys:
Isaac Patrick (so the lad would be IP Daly)
Gareth Oliver (so the initials would be GOD)

I have a friend who straight faced managed to maintain for her entire pregnancy that she was going to name her child Acne.... "But is sounds so masculine Mum, don't be so closed minded!!..."

She said it made the 'mildly unusual' name they eventually went with pass through the assorted inlaws with nothing but delight!

We regularly joke about either Strawberry or Footy as our last name is Field.

Though just because i thought this thread was about terrible spelling: A friend has just called her baby daughter Summah.
