HA! My dh pretty much planned nothing for our wedding - left it all up to me. We didn't have a huge extravanga, but he didn't even want to sort out the vows ideas our celebrant gave us.

As for the ad, if my dh had chucked me under the chin like that one did - he'd have lost a hand then and there........

We saw that ad the other night and I turned to DP and said "I would totally trust you to organise our wedding." snuggle, snuggle... kiss, kiss... "You'd trust me wouldn't you, right?"

At which point DP disentangled himself from the snuggle looked me straight in the eye and said

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!! I wouldn't trust you AT ALL!"

He then proceeded to shuffle to the other end of the couch muttering barely audible "Star Wars, bouncy castles, oh my god... no freaking way...!" and shaking his head!

I think DH would have done a good job. He would have been completely stumped on the dresses though (I had min and the BM's dresses made) and probably would have overspent on things like invitations (we did our own).

But I'll bet the show is awful. They surely will target people who will go to extremes, brides will be in tears, and families will either be laughing or fighting.

Gotta make drama for it to be good tv. I can't see myself watching, tbh.

You said no strings could secure you, at the station...
DH did most of our wedding, the invites, the place cards, the seating arrangements, organised the IL's to come over from Perth. Stuff like the reception venue and flowers we did in collaboration. I only wouldn't trust him to pick my dress, apart from that I think he'd do beautifully original.gif

Did anyone end up watching it?

I did but I wished I had not. Hopefully I will find something better to do next week.

I just felt that the husband last night was being deliberatly slack picking things that she would obviously hate (the snow for one).
and the wife.... I mean... was she for real?

DH and I both watched it - we thought it was kinda hilarous.

Not bad for mind-numbing tv which is what I need on a Monday night original.gif
