Hi Ladies,

I am coming up to my first FET but only have one FE and was wondering what peoples thaw rates have been? I am worried that it won't thaw and don't want to get too excited until the day.

Mish - As I mentioned in the other thread it depends on what method the clinic uses to freeze the eggs.

My first clinic used vitrification and I have had 100% thaw rate and have transferred the 4 that they have deforsted (2 x ET).

My new clinic uses the old method (not vitrification) and I wont know till I eventually get to my FET (if my body every blood works again) how many I will have. I have 9 so they will just keep deforsting till I get my 2 to transfer.

You also have to remember that egg quality is going to play some part in the defrosting as well.

All of mine have thawed successfully. (11)

Unfortunately none have resulted in a viable pregnancy.

They say 80% successful thaw rate at my clinic (vitrification) but they don't seem to break down that stat into succesful thaw rates based on blast grade - they only freeze blasts. Good luck!

I only ever had 3 blasts frozen on day 6 from the one stim cycle. 2 of those 3 thawed and were transferred in HRT FET cycles.
