I am dying of name love!

Marisol and Celeste are two of my all time favorites. I do not understand why they continue to fly so low on the radar screen while so many other blah names soar.

Anyway...

My vote would me with Marisol Celeste because I'm not a fan of double middle names. But if you are keen to go for two, then Marisol Eva Celeste. Ah....sigh.... wub.gif

Me too! I kind of more wanted a boy but I'm so excited I get to use these names now that I have a girl. Sounds almost unanimous for Eva Celeste which is good because although DP has handed me naming rights, he has expressed love for the name Celeste. Marisol Celeste is an option but I thought it was a bit too ssss so the Eva breaks it up a bit.
I absolutely love Marisol, I can't believe no one ever uses it, the meaning is just so beautiful (sea and sun in Spanish or in Hebrew, wished for child).
Someone mentioned it rhymes with parasol, but then I thought of all my friend's kid's names and I struggled to find a name that didn't rhyme with something and lots of them were much worse than a parasol!
Thanks everyone for your positive opinions.

I much prefer Marisol Eva Celeste.

Me too. I think the other option is messy-sounding.

Marisol Eva Celeste would be my pick but both are lovely.

I probably wouldn't go for two middle names though unless your other kids have two each because from my experience in having two middle names myself, the second middle name is often left off things without my consent anyway, even if I've written it down on the form for the card, certificate or whatever to be made. It gets quite annoying.

Hmm that is a good point Baby BumbleBee (about the second mn being left off), I might do some searching on here about 2 middle names. I just need to be convinced that Marisol Celeste isn't too heavy on the sss sound then. It looks OK because it's an s and a c but the sound?

I think its okay because the accent in Celeste is on the second syllable and the s in Marisol isn't the end of the name.

I would avoid Marisol Lila (for example) way more than Marisol Celeste, and not because of any negative feelings towards Lila, it's a name I like.

I think they sound great! as per my PP. The ss sounds are different enough in the 'sol' and 'ce' parts to not clash IMO.

Ive never heard of marisol but i did meet someone the other day her name also means wished for child. Her name was Emerence. I love it but dh said it sounds too much like emirates when you say it.
