cheeseontoast - I am also someone who reads a lot more than I post, partly as I am a Mod and the first thing I do is the modding things, although I have a high post count it is mostly Mod posting as a member I would be a newbie too (if you went by the posts I do as a member).

triangle - EB/EK is certainly very entertaining/amusing/informative (sometimes in the same thread) and it always amazes me what you can come her and 'search' and find info/advice on.

Hi all,
I'm definitely a lurker, having been reading articles and forums since my little bub was a tiny blip on an ultrasound. I wish I had found this site before my 3 year old was born. Anyway, I haven't felt the need to post so far but I value the information and resources here. I hope I can start to contribute a bit too, now that I'm out of the mad sleep deprived stage.
So, hi everyone!

I'm a serious serial lurker. I found EB in 2006 when I started IVF and found a wealth of information, advice and support in the Assisted Conception area. I actually think that I lot of what I learned/implimented from EB on my second cycle helped me get pregnant!

When things got really bad with my (now ex) husband, I spent serious time lurking in One Parent Families - it's still my first port of call when I check in. The advice and support is incredible. I learnt things I wouldn't have thought of at the time which helped me focus on what I needed to do. I've bought books (eg Lundy Bancroft) which I would never have found otherwise. Quite often I don't need to post because someone else has already asked the question! And sometimes it's just nice to know I'm not the only one going through all the crazy.

I don't need to participate as such. I'm quite happy to read, absorb what works, ignore what doesn't, be amused by the funny, touched by the stories, watch the train wrecks and generally be entertained. EB can be a fascinating place!

Hi All,
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster!

I've been lurking since i fell pregnant early last year and have found EB a great source of info/ideas/opinions that helped throughout my pregnancy and now come here regularly (daily, really) just to see whats going on in EB world!!
My DH and I have been together for close to 15 years, we have a 7 month old boy who we just adore and we have two big fur kids (7 and 2).
Guess now that I've broken the drought, you'll probably see more from me!

Hi Ali, ladies,

I guess I am a short term lurker and first time poster. My DH and I had been TTC for about 7 months and when it wasn't happening, impatience got the better of me and I searched the internet high and low for any tips, tricks and 'magical remedies' wacko.gif that I could add to my list of things to obsess over original.gif when I came across the site. It just seemed so practical and full of 'real' information and experiences rather than the overly medical approach that other sites have.

Anyway, I was lurking on the TTC forums and trying to sum up the courage to put down the my first post when I did a HPT and wolla: BFP. So started the angst of forum searching all over again. Such a wimp I know. It doesn't help that I'm a computer quarmbie and often fumble my way around the simple things.

I'm abour 5-6 weeks pregnant at the moment and we havent told a soul. keeping my mouth shut is killing me.

Ok, so that's the first post down.. Not so difficult.

I found EB through the baby name stories that turned up on theage.com.au. I love names and the stories behind them. From the baby names section I started reading threads from 'we are discussing'. Often by the time I read a thread everything has already been said better than I could say it, so I don't post anything.

We are planning on TTC in the next six months, so I think I'll be a more active member once we have taken that step, I think I'll have more to contribute.

Lou32 - Awesome to see you post here for the first time, you have obviously been a lurker/visitor for a while, how are you enjoying posting as well now? Congratulations on your pregnancy.

KittyGrom - All the best for the TTC journey once you get started, I am sure EB will be even more useful to you then and you know where to look for name ideas original.gif (if you haven't found one already).
