We were TTC for 4 months and this month we got a BFP. YAHHH this will be baby number 3 for DH and I and we are excited but I went to the GP on the day my period was due and he took a blood test. He told me that night that the level was only 56 and was really low so dont be too exctied. I had another blood test today so we know the results tonight. I feel like im on a roller coaster. I thought 56 was ok for this point but now im doubting it and the excitment has gone. Can anyone tell me what their levels were at this point?

Hoping you get a good result tonight. I did a number of IVF cycles & the clinic's preference was to have 100 at testing, which was usually around 16-18dpo.

I have seen lots of variations on HCG here on EB, including one member who started at 29 around 4 weeks & went on to have a baby.

This chart gives the ranges.

Best of luck.

I've had 3 blood tests this past 10 days due to a ectopic last year and mine at 5 weeks was 113, the obs. said this was low, then my second one at 5 weeks and 3days showed 350- still low and then 6 weeks was 1600- so very good.
I think its an individual reaction and this is bub #3 for us, on bub #2 my ranges were very low until the 8 week mark...
As hard as it is but waiting a few days and testing again to see what the ranges are doing to help further
good luck xx

This gives you an idea of what ranges HCG should be for your weeks pregnant

If you are 4 weeks, your HCG could be a low as 5 and still be fine

Our levels were similar to yours at 4 weeks - the important thing is the doubling / tripling every week - there is nothing you can do but wait now!!

Don't stress too much! The next blood test will give you a better idea xxoo

Mine was 36 at the same point in my second pregnancy. My doc told me not to get my hopes up. Went on to have a perfectly normal pregnancy and the resulting baby is now madly dancing around me to the Wiggles at almost 2 yo. Fingers crossed for you OP.

Thanks for the responses. I thought when I was pregnant with DD2 I had similar results but it was a few years ago now. I guess I have to be patient, something I am not good at sad.gif . The doc did say the main thing is that the numbers are going up and that he planned to test again early next week. Like the 2ww wasnt enough!!

Nattmum - I know how you are feeling i am comign to the end of 5 weeks now and it's doing my head in i think it's worse then the 2WW. I had a blighted ovum in october last year so it's a very worried and anxious wait for me. I think if the levels are rising that's all that matters the numbers will always vary don't worry bbighug.gif

I got my hcg done at what I thought was exactly 5 weeks. It was 600 which he said was on the low side. I thought I may have ovulated a couple of days late though, and at the ultrasound I was showing 3 days behind, so it would have been 4 weeks 4 days. So 600 would have been fine. It varies so much person to person though.
