Well i just wanted to see if anyone has any advice for me.

My DD is nearly 2, she is our only child, i dont work atm, and DH is very helpful in the evenings and weekends, i do set high standards for myself, like to keep to my routine each day, so that the washing doesnt pile up, that dishes are not in the sink overnight etc, but i dont overdo it i dont think.

But i always seem to be tired, i cant get enough sleep, i mean i do, but i still feel tired, i can go to bed and be sleeping by 9.30 and on a good night i get until 6/7am, DH gets up with DD and wakes me at 7am most mornings, so he can get ready for work, and on weekends i always get to sleep in, i rarely get up before 7.30am on weekends. SO i get 9 or more hrs sleep each night, with the exception of teething/sickness/cold/flu nights with DD, when DH and i are both up with her.

I just wonder if anyone else felt like this but it got easier/better for you?

I have had a full blood test done and nothing showed up, i am talking zoloft for PND, but i have been dealing with that and dont 'think' that thats the issue.

Anyway id love to hear from other tired Mums.. what can i do to feel more rested?

ETA its been since she was born, not because she is a 2yr old iykwim.

spotty.

A bit around that age, but not terrible. I had a newborn as well so i think i just felt a bit stretched. Now at 2.5 she is very cruisy, it gets easier original.gif

Her and dd2 seem to have a 2 hour nap at the same time lately and that has made a huge difference. I also have my return to work aoproaching so im not feeling as down as i was before. Do you go to playgroup or things like that? I joined one this year and its helped. She has a great time and it gives me a bit of a break even though im there with her.

I hav also got into a habit of a walk first thing each day (after they have brekky) with them in the pram. Even when really tired i come home feeling energised and more positive about the day ahead.

Use some of nap time for a break and relax. Dont feel you always need to get things done. You can clean during awake time - let her 'help' as they find it fun! My dd is obsessed with the handheld vac at the moment lok

Yeh we have two set things a week, kindergym and playgroup, which we love both. DD is a very easy kid, she can play by herself, needs little attention, but is also challenging aswell iykwim. She is trying to get her own little independance and wants to try things herself, but is too little for that, lol.

Maybe i need to eat healthier or something. Hmmm..

Don't crowd Sir Walter, Edmund.
I was extremely tired right around DD's second birthday, but the reason for that was, I was pregnant with DS. Other than that, no, I wasn't tired all the time.

I'm the same, probably could've written your post (and also have had blood tests) but I think it could well be a diet and exercise thing which I have time for neither. I do get time to myself and that hasn't really helped so I don't know. Sorry.

No not pregnant, we have a IVf miracle, so we are in control of not falling pregnant.

is it only a dream that there'll be no more turning away?
I found that when my kids were about 2, I was cruising (when I wasn't pg and puking!).

AD's can make you pretty tired and lethargic though, especially at the start. I found Zoloft knocked me out a fair bet when I trialed it.

My son is almost two and yes, I am tired most of the time. I find exercise helps me. I don't help matters though by going to bed late every single night.
