So, another thread had me thinking about 'Bad Boys' in books. It seems like they hold appeal for a lot of ladies out there for a number of reasons.

Do you like to read about them?
Who is the best Bad Boy character that you have read about?
What don't you like about them?

It depends.

Unfortunately, too many authors don't know the difference between badboy and abuser.

Patch from Hush, Hush is a good example. He is supposed to be romantic but is a stalking maniac.

But I like conflicted main characters, as long as the source text makes it obvious that his stalking behaviour is not romantic or acceptable but part something they originally have but learn to let go of. Barrons from the Fever series. Curran from the Kate Daniel's series etc.

I have almost finished reading Silence and I have to admit, that Patch is completely boring as well. I quite liked him in the first two books but it's all gone downhill from there.
