This is a pet forum = people should be allowed to post as they wish, ask questions etc etc

Time and time again, there are the usual bullies who poke their noses in ranting and raving. Throwing in their very judemental opinions.

I think I speak for more than a few people!

Cobwebs are the new black!
In most cases I agree. I myself bought this up a few days ago. Some of the girls are very dedicated to the plight of animals and therefore are very passionate but not always mindful that others aren't as well educated as them.

However in the thread you started I believe everyone had every right to reply like they did. You started a thread asking people to be happy that you are a BYB. There are many women here who are fostering animals that cannot find homes and people keep pumping out litters. I can understand how they might not be excited by the news that someone who is not a breeder is breeding their dog.

You didn't ask for advice you asked for people to condone what you are doing. These woman couldn't do that and be the people they are- fighting for animal welfare!

I smile because I don't know what the hell is going on.
I know what you mean...some people are full on and sometimes I wonder if they put animals above humans. I have found dog forums to be particularly scary ffear.gif

BTW - I have no idea about the background to this post. My reply is related to this thread only.

Stressed....Whose Stressed...Who Said That!
Totally agree with Xena yyes.gif

You asked on a public forum, we, like you are entitled to our opinions whether you like them or not. Of course no one who knows anythink about BYB is going to congratulate you on a job well done wacko.gif

You were given some good advice, if you don't like what followed ignore it and do whats best for your animals. Everyone is never going to agree with everyone else all the time...thats what makes the world go around...even in IRL.

I am a member of a dog forum and they are fantastic, but then I only go into a particular breed forum not a general one.....but you'll find in this day and age, of 1000's of unwanted puppies and kittens, that no one likes a BYB..... glare.gif

I agree with Xena too.

What I find sad is that I have to say no to so many animals, as I'm full of fosters atm cry1.gif You knew your thread would cause controversy, so why start it in the first place???

eta Yep I'm definitely judgemental of BYBers and have no probs admitting that original.gif

lol, not for me! And I can assure everyone that I am actually NICE about what I post here. You should see what I post on OTHER forums and what I SAY to people IRL!

Unfortunately, public forums mean that you won't always get the {{{hugs}}} and self-esteem boosting answers that you may be looking for. That is what your friends are for.

Yep this is a pet forum for animal loving owners who genuinely want to do the best they can by their animal not a haunt for skanky BYBs looking to make a quick buck when they knock up their b**ch for no reason and with little regard to the fact that they know posting something like that in this forum would be extremely offensive to others.

I doubt any of the people you speak for are people whose opinion I actually give a toss about.

Nothing skanky about me honey.

The post you are referring to was deleted by Nut - this post has nothing to do with that.

Go take a running jump because, frankly, your opinion means sweet **** all to me.

I don't recall calling YOU skanky at all, I was talking about BYB...defensive much?

If you read the post properly I was agreeing that this is a pet forum for people to learn about the welfare of their animals. It's not a breeder forum.

Train your dog, it's worth it!
I obviously missed the thread and it would appear to have been deleted, unless you have more than one user ID. I don't breed dogs, though I know a lot of registered breeders and people in Kennel Clubs.

But if you posted something that was seeking support for a unethical practice or behaviour (BYB, or getting your dog up the duff, because "she should have one litter"), you shouldn't be terribly surprised that people who have a genuine interest in animal welfare didn't agree with you.

By all means call people names, its very adult and professional and all, but seriously, you indicated that you'd already been reading stuff in this forum, yet you chose to post something that was likely to be inflammatory?

yyawn.gif over it already.
