AKA LilisMum
Hi,

We are expecting twin girls.

I think we have pretty much decided on

Charlotte Louise (NN Charli)
Madison Jae (NN Madi)

My only worry is whether to spell Madison with one 'd' or two.

What do you think?? Especically since she will be called Madi/Maddi most of the time.

Thanks

Whilst it's NMS, I prefer it with two "d's".

"A mother's children are portraits of herself."
What lovely names and so well suited for twin girls.

I personally prefer it spelt with two D's, however as a nickname it seems better spelt with one D.

Good luck deciding.

I prefer Maddison with nn Maddi. You've chosen a lovely pair of name.

I have a need.......a need for speed!!!!
Gorgeous names wub.gif

My DD is Maddison (obviously with 2 D's) and Maddie as a NN. I just thought it looked more feminine.

BTW - my girlfriend has a Charlotte (nearly 4 now) whose NN is Charlie, but when she was little she could only say "Larlie" and now it has stuck. Too cute!!!!

Good Luck

I think your names are great.

I would spell Maddison with two d's, as this is the way I am most used to seeing it spelt. original.gif

All the best with your impending arrivals. wub.gif

I’m going to go against the consensus as I would spell Madison with one 'd'.

I have had clients with it spelt a few different ways;

Madison
Maddison
Madisson
Maddisson

With the 'dd' and the 'ss'

Going together with Charlotte (Charli) i would go with the one 'd' and one 's' - Madison (Madi).

Don't crowd Sir Walter, Edmund.
While Madison is NMS, I think it looks better with one D.
