A Grandparent at 40 in this day and age tells me that they had their kids very young and the trend has continued. I don't see that being a Grandparent at 40 something to be proud I would have a comeback line saying something along the lines of are you used to teenage pregnancies in your household therefore being used to young Grandparents?

I am 42 with a 2.5yr old thankfully nothing like that has been said to me. I would be upset too, mainly I think because not everyone is able to have children when younger.

So do I, it gives me hope! Especially when I usually get the "really? At your age?" Response when I tell people I am TTC!

It happened to me again this week at the shops and you know what, I couldn't care less.


I had two children naturally at age 40 which makes me super proud and to hell with nosy strangers and their 'foot in mouth'.


I just say no, I am the mother and move on xx
