Hi Guys,
I'm a new mum of a nearly 10 week old baby boy and am looking to join a mothers group in my area (Rosebery, Sydney). Any ideas on how this is organised? Thanks |

Have a look at Playgroup NSW site- they have a list of playgroups across the state.
Also the local Child and Family health centre might organise mother groups- you could try ringing them. Good luck, I've found playgroups a great way to meet new friends, or at least a way to get out of the house for a few hours! |

You should contact your local Maternal Child Health Nurse. They are the ones who usually organise the Mother's Groups.

The best thing I ever did was join the ABA (Australian Breastfeeding Association). We have "meetings" twice a month with a topic for discussion and then morning tea, and in the off weeks, we have a pram walking group.
You can find your local group here: https://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/contacts/groups |

I'm also in Sydney and found my mother's group through the early childhood nurse. They ran an information morning once a week for babies up to 12 weeks old and then we branched off into our group.
