Just a little bit of history, me (17) baby number 1 born stillborn at 26 weeks, me (19)baby 2 born at 38 weeks is now 18, baby 3 at 34 is now 4, baby 4 at 36 now 2. I have not been using an contraceptive method, just watching my cycle, have been pushing hubby to have a vasectomy!! Have done 2 positive preg tests in the last 2 days and have had a blood test today. I don't know what to do, or what to feel, I am so scared it's not funny. Pregnancy with baby 3 was ok very bad morning sickness plus I expected the birth to be the same as baby 2 which of course it wasn't it was horrific although only lasted 2 hours from start to finish. Baby 4 pregnancy was just awful, I was sick and scared all the time to the point of panic attacks, I am honestly surprised I have any friends left. I don't know how I gave birth to bub, I was trying to keep my legs closed the whole time. I have very quick labours baby 4 was 1 hour 40 minutes. I really didn't expect to be getting pregnant again, we honestly never have sex!! I honestly don't know what to do any advice at all would be great, I am so scared!

Congratulations on this amazing gift you have been given.

I do understand what a scary time you are faced since I am in a similar position pregnant at 37 with baby no 6 with babies no 2 &3 been sick babies at birth requiring open heart surgery and babies 4 & 5 been stillbirths.

This pregnancy also wasn't planned so I am still trying to believe this is happening and just taking one day at a time and hopefully when November comes we will be blessed with a beautiful baby.

How does your husband feeling about this pregnancy, my hubby is shocked and scared and we know it is a long journey.

Please remember each pregnancy is different and this one could be different to lasts couple of pregnancies.

I am not sure what sort of advice you are after, but best of luck on a happy and healthy pregnancy.

As both of my pregnancies were okay, and both ended going well over with long labours, I obviously cannot know how best to empathise with your experiences. I can go all day and over and still not have a baby until she is well and ready, it seems...

My SIL had horrible pregnancies, but one thing that really gave her some great solace was, when having baby 3 the midwife she had at the hospital was a Calmbirth advocate. During that labour she basically taught SIL some methods that she put into effect and had the best labour she had (despite DN being a much larger baby than his older siblings) - and with baby 4 she really studied this method and some techniques to connect with the baby. SIL said even though she suffered all day sickness throughout, it did help her with the depression that seems to go hand in hand with such suffering. Her sister also had the "all pregnancy, all day sickness" and used the same research and study techniques to help her mentally get through.

Also, would it be of any use for you to find some counselling to get you through the grief and traumas you have been through with your pregnancies and births?
