Stupid people aren't flammable enough
Hi,

I am not very tech savvy. I have noticed that when i am browsing websites using firefox, random words have hyperlinks. This is on all webpages (including EB and my netbank) when i click on it, the hyperlinks all go to a 'text enhance' ad.

Does anyone know how to fix this so that they don't appear? I have run a virus scan as I initially thought I must have picked up a virus and it is coming up clear.

It's a virus. I had this recently and it was such a mission to get rid off. I found a website that helped me do it step by step and then still had to 'mess around' a bit to figure it out.

I deleted it from my programs and applications. Put my internet security up high. It took away the underlined items but still came up in my pop up blocker (the little bar across the top). I went to tools/add ons and then deleted it from there.

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense. If you know anyone in IT maybe you can let them do it for you!

Looks like it's fairly easy to fix, although there are a few steps.
Instructions are here

Installing Adblock Plus in firefox looks like it will probably stop it happening, the rest of the instructions are more about making sure you remove the existing problem.
