Me:
Cripes I'd be cactus if Macca's fries weren't there to save the day!! Hungry Jacks are no good as they also cook the onion rings in the same oil but with the dedicated fries for Macca's chips this ensures they stay GF.

"Big chips" (Mackenzie's word) for hash browns are perfectly fine also, as is the 'ketchup' there.

sharon, not unless something's changed recently. i'm guessing they cook them with the nuggets (ewwwww lol)

as far as i'm aware it's just fries and hash browns done in those front fryers (you can usually see them from up the front)

Hi alyssatahli,

When I waa a maccas chick (many moons ago) it was just the hashbrowns and fries cooked in those fryers. The apple pies were cooked out the back in the other fryers. I don't think that has changed.

As for the cross contamination question earlier in the thread - I suppose you can never be truly safe but the regular food handlers do not usually prepare the fries. For busy times they roster a dedicated fries person otherwise it is the front counter staff that grab them. Biggest risk would come from someone getting a softserve and then your fries but even then they should be using the scoop and not actually touching the fries. original.gif
