So we are 9 weeks pregnan t with no 2...still bf my 10 mth old girl...we mix feed for daycare, but she prefers mummy's milk...anyway my goal always has been to get her to 12 mths...but it's killing at the moment. My nipples are soooo sore...and the combo of teeth, and the suction of a ten mth old....I really don't want to have to wean, she's happy enough to keep going but I am cringing with pain now every feed.

Words of wisdom and experience?

'sup y'all...(:P)
not sure op as haven't done the pg while bf'ing thing... ( you brave lady! happy.gif )
... but my inital thought is.. if it is putting you through so much pain would weaning her be the best thing for you?

alternatively, could you express or use nipple shields? i know they're pretty obvious suggestions, and don't know if you're anything like me (DD boobs at the best of times, let alone when pg!.. a breastpump doesnt work for me cz the cup thingy just covers the areola which is paiiinful!!and not all that productive, actually.)
but maybe, just maybe one of these things will work for you? others will have some better suggestions, i'm sure.
congrats op and i hope you find a win win solution. wink.gif

Congratulations! I too am pg and breastfeeding (this is my second time doing it) and by now my nipples are like old leather boots biggrin.gif I find it's only painful for the first 30 seconds, and then it's completely painless the rest of the time. In fact, my nipples KILL when I dry with a towel after a shower, but once that initial let down they are fine during feeds. 9 weeks is a particularly sensitive time, if you can persevere for a few more weeks you'll hopefully find it settles down, that's what happened to me.

Good luck! You're sustaining the life of three people right now!!! tthumbs.gif
