Hello strangers!!

It's so lovely to see that everyone is still chatting and doing so well. All of your photos are amazing and gorgeous!!! Life has been just too busy for me to keep up with this group, but coming up to the one year mark, I have been thinking of you all and reminiscing about us all meeting our special arrivals this time last year. Aidan and I are doing really well. We have his birthday party this weekend so I am frantically preparing cakes and decorations and presents etc... No-one told me just how busy the life of a mother is! Boy do I appreciate my Mum 100 times more now - she received a very heartfelt mothers day card this year original.gif

Milestone-wise, Aidan is cruising round the furniture, and saying a few words (Mum, Dad, Dash (dog), up). He's a terrible eater and sleeper (still wakes 3 times per night!), but to counter that, he is tremendous fun to be around. He's very cheeky and funny and gives me loads of hugs and kisses biggrin.gif Saw the health nurse this week and she said he may need to see a paediatrician next year if he doesn't start putting on weight, because he's off the bottom of the chart for weight (only 7.8kg at the moment). I'm sure you all had lots of discussions about eating earlier on, but I just can't get him to eat meals. He's such a snacker... And a fussy one at that.

I'm going well too. Fairly tired most of the time, but loving motherhood. It has it's moments of course, and my brain feels like it's only working at quarter capacity which can be incredibly frustrating. I'm only doing a few hours of work from home each week which isn't stressful, but planning on going back for a full day in January while MIL babysits. I'm fairly lucky that I only have to do one day a week, and I think all of you who are balancing work and motherhood are incredible. It's a tough gig from what I've seen.

Anyway I just wanted to say a quick hi to those who remember me and I will try to join back in on the conversation more regularly from now on.

Sheri xo

P.S. Here's my most recent pic of Aidan (pre and post first haircut) - will come up larger if you click on it original.gif
