I found a little tiny lump late last night (approx 3mm) and it has me sick with worry.

It is right beneath my mastectomy scar where my original and two local reccurances were found. I have had a double mastectomy, 10 cycles dose dense chemo as well as 30 rads. Can it seriously be another tumour?

I called my BS and booked in for Feb 8. I then called my onc and asked if he can refer me for an u/s before then so the surgeon knows what he is looking at. am praying I am just crazy!!!

I feel sick....

I am just freaking out because I am pregnant and don't want to have to terminate to start chemo again....

Hi Pink,

Hopefully it is just some scar tissue or some kind of pregnancy related lump?
I have my fingers crossed for you!

I've got everything crossed for you, let us know what the u/sound shows and what the BS says on the 8th.

FWIW I found 2 lumps in my breast when pregnant with DS (found at 16 wks), after u/sound and fine needle biopsy it was determined to be normal pregnancy cells (and when I was disgnosed with breast cancer 20 mths later the cancer wasn't in that part of the breast).

Could your oncologist help with the u/sound referral? Or can you ring your GP and beg, plead, burst into tears, whatever it takes for them to write you a u/sound referral? Who is your caregiver for pregnancy, can they help with a referral even?

Thinking of you

Oh babe, I hope it's nothing! After the last few months you need something to go your way.

UPDATE

Well no new news really but I did see the specialist today. He doesn't think its anything to worry about but he is sendng me for an u/s to be sure (surprise surprise rolleyes.gif )

Even if it comes back as nothing he will be using local to numb the area and will cut the lump out in his office on Feb 22nd original.gif I am just glad I get to get rid of it. He said he will only need to make a 2cm incision to remove it and hopefully the local does a good job and I don't feel a thing!

Fingers crossed all goes well!!

Thank you all so much for the positive wishes!

That is great news, I can see why you want it gone even if the ultrasound shows it's nothing to be concerned by.

So pleased for you that the surgeon thinks its not nasty.

Please let us know how the u/sound and then the removal goes, we're all thinking of you
