DS2 loves the boob. He settles well at night - has his last feed and I can now put him to bed awake and he drifts off to sleep himself
 He's almost 11 months and has 4-5 feeds a day now. I would like to drop the night feed at some stage, just so he doesn't rely on it to be his wind down/bed time cue (if he hasn't already!). DS1 was down to 1 morning feed at the same age and I can't for the life of me remember how I dropped the night feed. I think DH put him to bed...we had a few nights of crying but he was fine after that. I think, it's all a blur now tbh! So how (and when) did you drop your night feed? Did you put your LO to bed, or did you have to get your OH to do it? I'm in no rush I guess, seeing him so relaxed and sleepy is so  , but just curious.

We haven't dropped the bedtime feed, but we've been elongating the gap between feed and bed. It hasn't been deliberate, more that DS has asked for the feed and then obviously not been quite ready to sleep immediately after.
We started with saying goodnight to Daddy between feed and bed, and have added in teeth brushing and occasionally a story or two. I also feed him downstairs rather than in his bedroom. |

Hi OP, were not there jut yet, my LO is waking twice a night but is obly 3 months... However you mighy find this site useful as it has gentle ways to wean off breast/bottle after 6 months.
