Hi there
As my title says: What time does your 11 month old go to bed and do they have a routine - or do you just go with the flow? TIA! |

90% of the time he is in bed at 7 - 7.30. It's pretty set when we are at home because DS1 also goes to bed at this time and I need to rest

I tend to go with the flow, what works like magic one night is completely counter productive the next (can you tell we had a rough night tonight? 😉)
Dinner and bath happen at roughly the same time every night and I try to have him asleep at 8 or shortly after, if he falls asleep before 8 he wakes up after an hour ready to party! 8 frequently becomes 9 or 9:30 depending on how hard he fights sleep. Fortunately he will sleep later if he has a late night. |

Around 7pm. DS doesn't really have a set routine for any other part of the day but the one thing I try to keep constant is bedtime. Unless we're out somewhere, he's pretty shattered by 7 and ready for bed then anyway.

Thanks sparklyredfish and Buffygirl.
So glad to hear I'm not the only one! Bath and dinner tend to happen around the same time every night (weekends a bit more easy going). If I try to put her down around 7-7:30pm as suggested by Tressillian it is a real fight. When she was younger no problem. Now because she is on the go so much (I think) it's easier to go with the flow. Usually it is around 9 - 9:30pm the latest This post has been edited by LemonPie: 20/01/2013, 09:16 PM |

My daughter used to go down at 7:30 but ever since
She started teething a few months ago she has been out of wack! Now we try have her in bed at 7:30 but it normally drags out until 8:30 - 9. How many hours of sleep would your 11 month old get a day? My daughter has around 14hrs, is this too much? |

My DS is 13mo but he has had the same routine for ages now.
He goes to bed very strictly between 7 and 730pm. So yes we have a pretty firm routine BUT he couldnt stay up past that time even if we wanted him to. He totally hits a wall and starts crying and whinging on cue at about 715pm. So yes, strict routine but it isnt like I 'insist' upon it against his will. He is very much ready for bed then and sleeps until about 645-7am. |
