Bel glad to hear Josh is ok and has no fractures. So glad your scan and appointment went well today.

gisses thanks so much for the tip on the pregnancy shorts I will definitely be getting some. And wow that is such amazing news. Congratulations. Twins how exciting.

MrsPotatoHead and Pssst... fantastic effort on the run. I am impressed.

AFM: Sorry for lack of personals. Just got home from having my scan and everything went well. Measuring at 6 weeks 6 days which puts me due at 1/1/2013 but hope you don't mind if I stay in here. So if its ok could you fix up my date on the list MrsPotatoHead. Thanks.

Heartbeat was 132.57 so is that leaning towards boy then? Was hoping I was further along as I still feel like crap and just want to feel better again. But am very excited that everything is going well. Hope everyone had a good mothers day yesterday and is feeling good. Going to tell my parents and my brother now but will keep it under wraps from everyone else till I have my 12 week scan.

Miss B excuse my ignorance but you said the heart beat was 132 and your leaning towards a boy does that mean that a particular range in heart beat can mean boy or girl?

Meg88 yeah it was amazing seeing the heartbeat. Makes it feel more real now. Guess I need to ring up and book into the hospital now.
Peggiesue congratulations and welcome to the group. Look forward to sharing this journey with you. I hadn't heard of it before I came in this group but there is an old wives tale that heartbeat can identify gender. They saw lower than 140 (I think could be wrong someone else might know better) is a boy higher than that a girl. Will be interesting to see if it's right. I guess I will find out in around 13 weeks.

Sorry I haven't been around for ages, just trying to cut down on computer usage. I already spend too much time on Facebook. I'll try and pop in more often tho.
We have our scan on friday, so nervous as at our last scan we weren't as many weeks as we thought and it was too early to see a baby. Same thing happened with DS though, but I can't help being nervous!

gisses Yey for you! Congratulations. Twins are awesome.

mcchickies I'm heading into the 10th week and nausea is not going away. Not sure what is normal though!

missy78 shame about your office gossip. I've had to remind my family members (ie My Mum) that the news is ours to share if and when we choose.

AFM. still chugging along. EVERYTHING smells. Mostly bad. Am considering toting a hanky scented with eucalyptus to cover my nose. That's not weird is it?
We have decided to go through RPA as public patient, shared care with GP. Then use PHI to cover a private room post birth.
Anyone with experience there let me know!!

Wow gisses congratulations! ddance.gif so glad we've got twins in here. I am good friends IRL now with one of the girls from DDs DIG, and she had twin boys, so cute. A handful but so nice to see them interact and play together. They were supposedly fraternal, but at 23 months barely anyone can tell them apart, so I think they are identical. So excited for you.

bel glad your scan went well too. Hope the pikelets were tasty.

mcchickies I am just over 10 weeks and feeling good, less fatigued, only occasional nausea so for me things have improved. Although I find it stressful cause other than a slight tummy bump and a little bit of heartburn, you wouldn't know I was pregnant. Still fit into my skinny jeans today no worries. Hanging out for my first OB appt on Wednesday, hoping all is ok. Want to see little pip again.

Welcome peggiesue!

And for whoever is collecting heartbeats, ours was 127 at 6w4d. I'll be interested to see your results cause I've read quite a few studies spelling the myth, but have come across midwives who swear by it.
