Mum to two boys!! :O
My mum has taken up painting and is loving it but finding it hard to finance. I would love to get her some paint and things for Christmas. Can anyone point me to some sites where I can buy paint online at a good price?

TIA

Bumping this up because I'm interested too! original.gif

I have found some good deals on eBay and have also discovered AliExpress.com - they don't seem to have much in the way of paint at AE, but I got some markers and oil pastels off the site and was impressed with the prices and the customer service of the individual sellers (though having said that, it's not all cheap - you still have to do your homework). Looks like they have a lot of art paraphernalia, you just have to be a bit creative with your search terms.

Dickblick.com is supposed to be good. I've never ordered from them and don't know how much they charge for shipping to Australia (as they are US-based), but in terms of range they seem to have everything, and then some!

Some dollar shops have very good selections of art supplies too. We have one locally (independent i.e. not part of a chain) that has a lot of stuff, including some fairly specialised things. Of course it's not all "artist quality", but it's more than adequate for my purposes for now. So might be worthwhile scouring some dollar shops too.

Let me know if you've found any gems. original.gif It's definitely not a cheap hobby - I don't know what I would do without the above-mentioned dollar shop!

Not sure that it is very cheap but Riot art and Craft shop is online:
http://riotstores.com.au/product

I would also try spotlight and keep an eye out for their sales.
