I really like Lysander, though I'm a bit worn out on Xander as a nickname because I know lots.

Lysander is on our list of usable boys names though.

I love Hugo - is one of my favourite names for a boy.

From your list I also like Raphael and I don't mind Dashiell. I'm not so keen on Cillian or Dexter.

Good luck!

Don't crowd Sir Walter, Edmund.

3. Raphael is okay as long it is spelt that way and not Rafael. I really do not like the butchering of classic names. It also seems a little feminine to me, maybe because I know two Raphaella's. Also Teenage Mutant Ninger Turtles.

You think Rafael is butchered, yet you spell Ninja as Ninger?

And, just so you know, Rafael is legit.

Lol! I missed that, good spot there Vanessa!

Was waiting for you or G to come in and confirm the Rafael spelling for me.

1. Dashiell - by a whisker
2. Cillian - had you thought about Cassius
3. Dexter
4. Hugo
5. Raphael - while it is a beautiful name and an amazing artist, i fear the cruelty of children would come out to play as it is on the feminine side.

I love Hugo and Raphael from your list.

I've never heard of Cillian pronounced with the 'S' sound. I met a few when living in Ireland, it was always pronounced with a hard 'K' sound?
