Mum of girls
I BF both my DD's til 11.5 months and they were sucky little babies. Both times got my period back at 5.5 months post-partum.

My friend BF her DD's for less than 4 months, and took more than a year both times!

I had quite a bit of trouble breastfeeding both times so managed to get to maybe 4 months mixed feeding. My period came back in about 2-3 months both times

With DS I got my period back when he slept through the night and cut down to 4 bfs a day, this was 7 months post partum.

DD is almost 11 months, having 3 bfs a day and there is no sign of my period. It's been missing since Sept 2010.

I constantly feel like it is coming but never shows up!

I breastfed for about 11 months, but the last 6 months were supplemented with formula once a day. It took a good 4 months once finally finishing bf to return. I was getting anxious too, but once it was back I was annoyed I was wishing it return! So it was over 2 years without a period, so awesome in reflection original.gif
