I've used sleeping bags from Kmart, Big W, Target with no problems.

Pat is currently in a grobag and gro bedding set. We are getting him used to having a pillow and doona and staying upright before changing to a bed. The grobag also stops him from being able to stand up (because the doona is zipped onto the sheet)

I have used merino sleeping bags since birth. The ones I use come in winter weight or summer weight and size 0-2yrs and 2-4yrs. They were expensive, but very worth the money in the long run. I tried blankets with my first child, and we had lots of wake-ups when the blankets were kicked off. They can't kick a sleeping bag and since there is no man made fibres in the ones I use, they can't overheat either.

Does anyone put hats or beanies on babies while sleeping? I'm sure it is a SIDS risk but does anyone know? It is a sids risk and no I've never done that. Last night, DS was in flannelette pjs, 1.0 tog sleeping bag and a thin cotton blanket on top. For tonight, I have put flannelette sheets on his bed, and I'm considering using the 2.5 tog with no blanket. I was so cold last night. I'm in Sydney though. |
