I don't hate Davida/Davita (duh-VEE-da or duh-VEE-ta, not DAVE-ih-da) though they're very old-fashioned. Throw it on the pile of names like Thomasin/Tamsin, Simone, and Petra, all of which I prefer to David, Thomas, Simon, and Peter.
-eigh and -leigh names get on my nerves nigh-universally though. So I can't love Daveigh, and also wonder if its Davy, duh-VEE, or something -VAY but I really hope not VAY. |

You will have a girl with the nickname of 'Dave'. The name daveigh doesn't appeal to me but the nn Dave would happen with other established names like Davina, and really seems no different to other girls names having male nuns Samantha nn Sam, Alexandra nn Alex, Christine nn Chris etcetera |
