Hooray for Friday!!

Thanks to everyone who responded to my weight gain freak-out! It's good to know it's normal and I'm not the only one, not that I'd wish this bloated feeling on anyone on purpose! I just keep reminding myself that it means I get to have a BABY! and suddenly it doesn't seem too bad to be a bit chubby wink.gif

Thanks also for all the clothes advice. I think I'll invest in some looser fitting tops this weekend, and get some more LJ pants a size or two bigger to see me through to actual maternity wear. (because I work from home, I just live in Lorna Jane tights and t-shirts, one of the perks of my job wink.gif) On another clothing note, it looks like I'm going to need some bigger bras soon too! Eeep! I'm already a D cup, so I'm a bit scared about how that's going to progress, haha!

Eeyolet ~ welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you original.gif

Sorry for the lack of personals today girls, I'm a bit behind the clock and have four two year olds about to descend on my house! I'd better get ready original.gif Have a lovely Friday everyone!

ETA ~ Welcome as well to Obewan! We were posting at the same time! Have fun in Hong Kong, if you can't drink and eat some of the food, you might as well console yourself with some retail therapy wink.gif

Hi all

Kazz33 i hear you on that pee addiction LOL... I do about 4-5 tests a day (mostly ebay cheapies) ... But i still have 10 digis left... Not sure why ill keep using them now that they all say "pregnant 3+" and cant go any higher, but i defintly get it original.gif
Hope you get that dating scan original.gif Cant wait to hear how it goes.

OMG Finally!! we all have the fear about our first GP appointment. I know im freaking out about it... I just want to get my bloodwork back to say "alls good your levels are high"!! So im feeling you on that one... I cant imagine how you went back to work... My head is so stuffy now as it is... suck!

Cams defintaly sounds like a responce to the extra blood flow down there. Is it almost like a "relief" pressure? I know alot of people in my other birth club had that original.gif

obewan Congrats hun!! Defintly sounds like drinks are off the menu LOL...I has a string line at 8dpo, but it turns out i was really about 12dpo, i wonder if this is the same for you?? might have an earlier due date? or are you pretty certain? original.gif

CubaLulu I work from too original.gif Love it original.gif currently in tights and a singlet hehehe original.gif I just wanted to say i chucked in my old bras. your boobies just get bigger and bigger and bigger, so ordered myself some AHHH bras... They really do fit great. I dont find them as "lifting as the pictures show, but they do grow with you so thats a plus original.gif

AFM (does this mean "and for me?")

Im pretty good, getting alot better. Im loving my pharmacy right ow for giving me the pregnancy safe cough mixture original.gif and for the first time since i found out, i actually slept through, so it was an extra little plus original.gif

Stevie

5 weeks 2 days (i think)

If i got from my period - (26th dec) im Due the 1st

If i go from suspected ovulation - (the only month i didnt use OPKS) 9th

If i go from when my Digital test clicked over to 5 weeks (3+) im due the 3rd

So no matter what im due in the first 2 weeks. If your wondering why i wrote a novel about it, its because i removed my ticker until i have a "for sure" date LOL

Hi Girls,

No personals sorry. Just went to my GP and had bloods (yuck), got my U/S referal and got a referal for DH to have the snip biggrin.gif . My GP was a little odd, I think she holds a lot of judgement about some of my choices by a couple of comments she said so feeling a little deflated at her lack of support this time around. Or maybe Im just being over sensitive which is very possible.

Insomnia is getting me good at the moment. 3.30am each morning. 5 weeks today I think.

CATS - I have two and have had them through each pregnancy with no issue. If you have cats around the chances are your immunity has built to taxoplasmosis but if handling poop then wear gloves. I wouldn't stress about cats, half the households in the country have them original.gif

CLOTHES - wearing all my nice clothes at the moment before htey dont fit anymore and winter is spent in trackies and sweatshirts. Sexy huh? lol.

Have a great day girls, hope the Sydney girls are staying dry. I may go an indulge in a bath with my book now and make hte most of a childfree day.

Welcome to the new ladies too!

JECJEC - Nice to have someone fairly close! Hubby and I were both born here. I actually lived on the Central Coast for 3 years (Umina) when I was at uni. It was gorgeous there but I couldn't wait to get back to my life in Newcastle!

Obewan - welcome, so glad you could join us! Have a great time in Hong Kong original.gif

CubaLulu - I had to get new bras at 10 weeks last time, I couldn't believe how quick that happened. I went from a DD to a F! Fortunately I didn't get much bigger than that except when my milk first came in. The best advice I have is go and get fitted properly. I have a really great shop near us that does fitting and I've never had a bra that didn't fit perfectly.

Stevie
- I've been really curious about the Ahh bras (they're selling them at BigW now too!). Haven't been game to try one yet but gee they look comfy! Don't stress too much about your due date, bub will arrive when in it's own sweet time anyway. L decided the night before my induction (after they'd dosed me up on panadeine forte and sleeping tablets). Good thing I was already in hospital!

annsam - a bath and a book sounds divine. Enjoy!

Told my mum this morning and she's really excited! Other than that no news, I'm at work and really just want to have a little nap on my desk. We were up again from 11-1:30 last night. I ended up rocking her to sleep, really trying not to give in and put her in our bed but I think I'll have to if this keeps up!

Have a great day!

If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart!
Wow!! So much more posting over the last few days! I've been busy with work, getting the big kids ready to go back to school.. and a quick trip to Melbourne for my DS3's allergy testing review.
Spent half a day going around to baby shops with my best friend who is due a week before me... helped her pick out a double pram! So much fun!

Pinkpeko ~ I'm so sorry to read of the loss of your son. I hope you're able to enjoy this pregnancy!

Tuesday_nite ~ How would your neice feel about sharing her birthday if you go on time?

CubaLulu ~ I had a giggle about the frog too.. thank goodness there haven't been any more since then!
I hope your headache has eased! I get terrible headaches too... I have chronic sinusitis though. I have had a headache of some sort every single day since April 27th last year sad.gif . I hope the pregnancy doesn't make them any worst for me!
LOL at your 'OMG moment' laughing2.gif My only little omg moment is when I realized that I already look about 15wks pregnant. Normally I just bloat at the start too but being number 5 I really do look pregnant already blush.gif Fingers crossed we're able to hide it until we're ready to announce!

littleurchin ~ DS's sleep apnea does give us a lot of sleepless nights... it's the least of his worries though really. He is a pretty complex kid and keeps my on my toes with trips to Melbourne to see all his specialists. He has been put down as "Semi urgent" for his surgery but they think it might still not be until around April that he gets in... I can't wait for it to be done!
I know what you mean about having pregnancy and babies on the brain! It's all I can think about and I can't wait to tell everyone! So great that it's still so exciting 5th time around!

annsam ~ I know how you feel about finding out so early! It makes these first few weeks really drag doesn't it!

Stevie ~ Wow how lovely of your IL's to help you out like that!
QUOTE
I am with you girls with the pain... I know this sounds wierd but last time from about 16 weeks my hips started giving way and wehenever i tried to sit up or get from a laying position it felt like my (tmi) vag was dislocating and seperating..

That sounds a bit like SPD.. I had that with my 3rd. The Physio might be able to get you a brace to wear around your hips and give you tips on how to stand up and get in and out of the car... stuff like that to ease the pain.
I hope you get some relief from the Duro Tuss... I had a persistant cough for 11 weeks at the start of my last pregnancy and I was put on that too. It didn't help though and I ended up having to be put on asthma preventor puffers for the rest of my pregnancy.

Cams ~ Congrats on your BFP and welcome to the group!
I hope you're able to get a scan soon to ease your fears!

My3Beauties ~ Congrats on your BFP! Good luck with your scan to find out when you're due!

Lorem ~ Congratulations on your BFP! I hope everything continues to progress for you and you can enjoy the ride with us! :-)

kimliz ~ Congratulations on your BFP! That makes it hard when your Mum works at the Drs! LOL.. I hope you're able to get your bloods done soon.
I had the 'what if it's twins' thought too because I had heard the more babies you have, the more likely you are to have twins. It wouldn't bother me though... I have 2 seats left in the car anyway roll2.gif

Melzy ~ Congratulations on your BFP! How cool finding out on Australia Day! My DS turned 3 in Jan too!

Babbases ~ Congratulations on your BFP! Wow there are quite a few IVF babies in the group! How exciting for you all!

Kazz ~ Congratulations on your BFP! Good Luck working out exactly when you're due..
There are no silly questions biggrin.gif Ask away.
As long as your cycles are 'normal' length, then it goes from the first day of your last period.

Eeyolet ~ Congratulations on your BFP! I hope the GD stays away for you this time!

Kez ~ I can't wait to see the pic of your DD in her announcement shirt! I ended up buying an iron on transfer off ebay and a plain shirt to put it on. :-)
I hope you get some better nights sleep soon!

obewan ~ Congratulations on your BFP! Wow.. have a great time in Hong Kong!

I hope all the new school kids have had a great start to the year! My 4yr old starts pre school on Thursday next week. :-)

I had all my bloods done on Tuesday and I'm booked in for my dating scan next Thursday.. fingers crossed I'm far enough along to get a nice strong heartbeat!

Kez I told my mum today too, I was going to try and wait a little longer, but it is just too exciting, felt like I might burst if i didn't tell someone grin.gif
I should get bloods done next week and mum works for my doctor, so would have been difficult to hide really.

J4CQUI- wow u r so cool about the twin thing, I am packing it oomg2.gif

Pinkpeko- all the best for a happy healthy outcome this pregnancy, I'm sure it will be original.gif

Stevie- I'm the same as you with the due date thing, I don't really know when I ovulated. I had my LMP 1st jan but my cycles were 33 and 37 days respectively so I have one up with approx 14th October. Guess we will find out soon enough. I have read that the first scan u have is the most accurate dating wise.

HELLO OTHER LOVELY LADIES THAT I HAVE MISSED, LOVE READING ALL ABOUT YOUR EGGIES.
AFM I feel really fat and bloated already, shoudn't complain, just a bit depressing when I spent the part of last year dieting and had started looking decent before ttc #3 . Oh well this is what I wanted, can't wait to start showing properly, I love trimester2 !!

Hi girls, hope you have all had a good week, yay for it finally being weekend!! Hoping to get plenty of sleep to feel more rejuvenated for next week. Not sure if tiredness is pregnancy related for the fact that we had a long weekend away last week on the great ocean road which including way too much driving!!

Went to see my naturopath and she was absolutely thrilled to hear my news!! Was good to talk through all my symptoms and have her confirm everything is normal. She also understood my weird urination feeling and described it as feeling like the beginning of an orgasm which is totally how it feels. She also gave me a book to read and then we can discuss any of my concerns in a couple weeks and work out what treatments I may need.

So far going slightly crazy not being able to talk to everyone about our pregnancy and can't even imagine having to wait another two months before telling anyone. Will see how long I can hide it at work.

Totally understanding the bloating even at just under 4 weeks. First thing I did when I got home was take my belt off!!!

Obewan - congrats on your BFP!!! I also couldn't believe how strong my line was on about 9-10dpo.Especially when i went to look at the test after 7 minutes expecting to see only one line!!!

As for OMG moments, mine was definately seeing that second line. I stood there with hand over my mouth thinking OMG OMG OMG for a good couple minutes!!! Other ones have been, yay I get to buy a new car this year!!! Lol, need to upgrade to a family car, so was just waiting for the family to start. Guess I'll have to wait out until 12 weeks before hand though otherwise will likely get more questions!!

Has anyone else experienced a lot more people asking you whether you're pregnant just out of the blue without even seeing you?? I've had two friends ask on facebook this week and hubby has also been asked in a text. Crazy!!!

Thanks ladies! 5 weeks sounds so much better than only 2.

Cams- Yay for being able to buy a new car. We did that before chrissy. We decided we may as well do it then while we could afford it. Little did we know i was gonna fall pregnant so soon after.

Stevie - Wow 5 tests a day & i thought i was addicted lol laugh.gif I like to keep checking though. Yep dr next Wed, can't wait! I still haven't had a really dark 2nd line though which worries me a little...

I really wanted to tell my mum today but decided to wait till hubby & i can tell both mum & dad together. I just wanna tell someone! Still dont really feel pregnant, just nauseous & tired.

Wow! This thread has certainly gotten busy! I've had a quick read through everything so welcome to all the new ladies and congratulations!!

Thank you to all for your kind words about my son. His name was Liam. This pregnancy is going to be really hard. I'm so happy but I feel bad for being happy, like I shouldn't be because I should still be sad for losing my boy. I have to keep reminding myself that pregnancy can result in a living baby at the end and not to worry. And that everyone has to be 4 weeks pregnant at some point so it doesn't necessarily mean this won't stick. I hate that I'm so negative now, I miss the naivety I used to have..

I booked in for my dating scan on the 21st Feb. I put it off til 7 weeks because I can't bear the thought of having a scan and not hearing a heartbeat again. I've also booked in for my first OB appointment on the 29th Feb so plenty to look forward to already.

I haven't really had any EPS. I am not looking forward to 6 weeks, last time that was when I was hit with nausea that didn't go away for 10 weeks.. the best thing about being sick though is that at least you feel pregnant!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend!
Laura

If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart!
Sorry for that mammoth post!! I didn't realize how long it was.. shows what happens when some of the kids are back at school and I finally got some time to myself haha.

Cams ~ How exciting being able to buy a new car this year! What do you think you'll get?
Wow that's strange that people keep asking if you're pregnant! I always get asked when we'll have another baby.. and if I ever have a Drs appointment people ask me if that's why haha. Anyone that knows us is surprised our youngest child is 3 and I wasn't pregnant yet LOL.

Laura ~ I hope the m/s isn't too bad for you this time... just bad enough to make you feel pregnant. :-)
