Morrning Ladies! Apologies for my absence over Easter, DH and I plastered and painted the Bath, Toilet, Laundry, Hallway and almost finished the Living, Dining and Kitchen. Oh wait, and the Nursery!!! It was a mamoth weekend and I think it has taken me this whole week to recover happy.gif

Dizzy, I can't belive you lost your plug, here's hoping it's happening as we speak, and if not, it's just a day or two away. Can't wait to hear your big news!

White Lilly, glad to hear you are handling your EDD ok. It does make it a little easier when you can feel another little soul moving around in there, but it's still sad isn't it? Make sure you give yourself a break if you do feel sad, you've earnt it, what a journey we've all been on!

Flowerbell, two weeks!!! Yikes, so exciting! I hope it all goes ahead as you are planning biggrin.gif

Spit, I LOVE both Polly and Pollyanna. I am a massive fan of those names that have gone out of fashion, as is DH, but we can't seem to agree on the same old school name! We are in love with Angus for a boy, but as for a girl, the debate continues! Good luck making your choice!

Bananagirlsmum, thanks for keeping the list going, it makes me so happy to see all of us on there and moving ahead day by day! You're a star!

AFM, 9 weeks to go, and I'm finally starting to believe it's actually going to happen this time. We had our first Prenatal class last night, and a woman came in in labour whilst we were there. We are in the little local birthing centre (only has two rooms) so we could hear everything, and I must admit that hearing her scream (that's not quite the word for it, but having never heard sounds like it before, I'm not sure what to call it ohmy.gif ) made me both terrified and excited at the same time. I was so excited for them that their journey was coming to an end and they were about to meet their little one, and terrified at the reality of a woman in labour! LOL, hope it all went well for them! OK, off to put our high chair together. It came yesterday, and I was thinking of putting it in the cupboard for a while as we clearly won't be using it for several months at the least, but it was a gift from a very dear friend, and I think she would be hurt not to see it out next time she visits. So look out, I've got my power drill charged and ready!!! biggrin.gif

Keeping ninja.gif for news from Dizzy....and the rest of the April girls. So exciting!!

Family - I can practically see you beaming with that pregnancy glow over EB. You sound so positive and excited in your post, good stuff.

I love the name Polly - There is no reason at all why you can't call her Pollyanna and just call her Polly and let her decide later on if she wants to use her full name. I know a lady who called her daughter Camilla, and she is called Milly for short by everyone. In fact she was 18 before I realised what her legal name was!

AFM - 33 weeks yesterday, and it was my birthday! Had a low key day with DH making pancakes for brekky, then I had a few hours to myself before I went to my MIL for lunch with the girls - my SIL's and my Mum. Got a worm farm from DH (practicality plus) new slippers and dressing gown for hospital, and an organic stir fry growing kit.
Have been feeling so much better since finishing up work - no exhaustion and my moods have improved! Have been getting a few new aches and pains - I think I have carpal tunnel in my left hand (am left handed) and my arms go to sleep easily, particularly in the night. Think bub is practising engaging, sometimes its so low I have lots of pressure, need to pee constantly, and I get what I can only describe as pain in my cervix.
The last few days I've been having these spells of mild nausea, sweating, and a bit shaky. No particular pattern to it - mid afternoon, evening, and today, morning. They are worrying me a little, but I have my regular appt tomorrow so will make a list to remember to bring it up - am so vague!
Have succumbed to the overwhelming desire to rearrange the pantry this morning. Next is washing baby things. Am going to also pack a bag to keep in the car. Have packed bub's hospital bag, minus clothes cos I dont have any yet.
Better go, have some friends arriving for tea, have to start cooking.

Hi lovely ladies. Sorry for being so quiet but but I have no smart phone or i-device so couldn't let you all know until now that my little baby girl has arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went into labour at 1am on Thursday April 12 (four days early - wonderful!) and she was born vaginally at 10.48pm with an epidural for the last 3 hours (I was exhausted and it was marvellous!).

Absolutely amazing experience (very hard, but worth every hour, minute and second). We have named her Lara Elizabeth. She was 2890g which is 6 pound 6 oz. 49cm, 33 head circumference with a big mop of gorgeous dark brown hair. Totally in love.

Looking forward to hearing about all the other April and May babies. Not long girls!!

Yay Dizzy CONGRATULATIONS!!! Just popped in to see if there was any news! That is so exciting! I am so happy for you. Love the name Lara too! Hope you are enjoying lots and lots of cuddles!

AFM saw OB this morning-little girl still staying put for now. Am so ready to meet her. I also have really bad carpal tunnel-haven't felt my hands properly for so long so feeling a little over it and just anxious for her to arrive. OB would like to induce me next Tuesday but think I would like to wait and see when she is ready...

Congratulations again Dizzy & look forward to hearing about all the other new April arrivals!

Woohoo DIZZY!! That is the most wonderful news!!!!!! Congrats to you and your DH and welcome to Lara!! Love the name!!!!! Hope its all going well!!

Flowerbell good luck with the induction decision! I was ready to be induced with Ds at 41wks but freaked out and asked to wait another 2 days and they said OK and I went into labour that night!! My Dr said would have been the most textbook induction ever!!!
Cant wait to hear your news!

AFM had my last scan in town today and bubs was perfect again!! No one can believe I have got this far with Anti Kell and no issues!! So I have actually started to make plans for my induction on the 3rd! Yay!! Am soooo ready for it! Not sleeping well at all and just generally yuck!! Think the family is about to come down with colds as well which will just be lovely!! Hopefully not!!

Cant wait to hear some news from whoever is next now!! Have a great day!!

Hi girls! Just wanted to let you know I'm still here biggrin.gif We are now two days before EDD. DS was here by now so its uncharted territory! I'm just trying not to be impatient and keep myself occupied. Although I'm starting to get plenty of msgs asking me what is going on....
Hopefully I will have some news for you soon - I do feel like she might be staying in there for a few days yet though, I've had no indications that labour is coming anytime soon (I didn't with DS either though, my waters broke and then it went from there!) I went to delivery ward yesterday to see if my waters had broken (I was having lots of discharge) and they told me my cervix was closed...

Dizzy - congrats!!! You must be absolutely over the moon wub.gif It sounds like you did an amazing job. She sounds like a gorgeous little girl!! Enjoy every second!!

Spit - its fantastic that everything is going well with you and your baby, not long to wait now!!

flowerbell - Not long for you either!! Isn't it amazing when its just a matter of days before we meet our little ones. I have some carpal tunnel in my left hand which is annoying and I never had it with DS. It will be all over soon - and the reward will be worth it biggrin.gif

farmgirl - Sounds like you are busy nesting!! biggrin.gif I have had no impulse to clean at all - unless you count asking DH to do it! laugh.gif

FamilyGirl - you sound very busy for a pg woman too! The delivery ward is a bit of a scary place, I remember going in there during our antenatal classes and being freaked out too!!
