I am sure I have posted about this before, but I used to do casual work as a personal shopper. I worked for another woman who had established the business. Her business model was based around receiving kickbacks/commissions from the retailers involved, the fee from the customer wasn't really where the money was (at all). She was able to do this due to her business contacts and hardcore networking. The customer base was universally quite affluent, not really the average mum and dad type people. Tbh I don't really think there is much money in what you are describing, unless you are able to do a very high volume somehow, or create relationships with retailers.

I think you're kind of defeating the purpose of your 'shopping around' personal shopping idea, by selling products on your page as well. If its the personal shopping part you're most interested in, I'd take the shop off your web page.

I don't think your market matches your idea unfortunately. Sure you may have a few cashed up mums and grandparents but most wouldn't be cashed up that they would use the service and therefore spend more on the presents then if they had done it themselves. And that is what will happen because they will be charged a fee and wrapping normally will cost more plus they may not be happy for it to arrive gift wrapped if they hadnt sighted it first. Also who will be responsible for timeframe of delivery?

There would be no fee for my service, the only cost incurred would be a membership fee, then the goods cost and delivery to the customer.
