Hows it going guys?

Chris here my partner and i both share this account and its quite exciting we have just found out we are pregnant!

Shes about 4-5 weeks along which is still early and quite frankly im crapping myself,

Not in the sense that im scared about being a dad whatsoever even though it hasn't really kicked in yet.
More so scared just waiting that 12 weeks, you know its a long long time and days go by really slowly and theres nothing more that i want than this baby.

Just a bit of our past history in trying, it wasn't extensive or extrodanary by any means we had one miscarriage which was about 3 months ago.

Very early miscarriage at that.

But theres always good that comes out of the bad, as her previous marriage they were trying and trying but her ex husband was infertile, as tough as that would be to handle for her because there is nothing more than she had ever wanted, but the kicker of the story which is the worst part, after all the trials and trying and blood tests etc he was infertile the entire time.

But thats just a bit about me and i would love to get to know some of the blokes on here.

Chris.

Hey mate, pleased to meet you

We had an early miscarriage, and actually had a worse outcome after that, which I won't go into an extreme amount of detail about. I can relate to how you are feeling in the early weeks, it's terrifying and exciting all at the same time. I still remember the feeling of being robbed of some of the joy due to past experience, which can be hard sometimes to get past.

We now have 2 girls, one's nearly 2 and one's nearly 4, and our 3rd is due on Valentine's Day, which isn't far away at all. I now worry about how we will deal with the kid:parent ratio becoming uneven!

Hang in there, offer your partner every support you can, hope the next few weeks go quickly for you.

Dan

Hey Chris!

Welcome to the mad house that is fatherhood. DW and I had a number of miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies and failed IVF before fally pregnant with DS who is nearly 8 yo. Just before DW turned 40 (which was our "cutoff point" for having any more children) we fell pregnant with DD who is just over 2 yo.

The waiting and not being able to do much is the worst part of pregnancy. As Dan said - offer all the support and help you can!

Just contribute to the rest of the posts in and topics in Essential Baby... the other mums don't bite original.gif

Too busy blogging about sport and gadgets and games etc... which I also love original.gif
