Thanks for taking part in this weeks challenge everyone, it certainly was challenging with this not particularly "traditional" autumn weather!

Mummy26, definitely a picture of autumn here in Australia. Beautiful composition and the vignette draws the eye in to the leaves perfectly. Love the lucky addition of the bird and the feather!

Abbygirl, another beautifully composed photo. The decorative chair is a lovely foil to the gorgeous colour in the leaves.

Blue4me, wow, the strong colour in your triptych is lovely. This is a beautiful autumn abstract, well done.

Silverwattle, I just love the smooth DOF in your photo. I would probably increase the contrast a bit to bring out the colour and texture on the leaf, but that is just personal taste. Good to see you exploring Photoshop and other editing programs, they really can help to bring out the best in photos.

3greenhills, glad to see you back, nice composition and colour in your leaf. By the way, I’m really enjoying your P52 photos and messages!

LenaK, welcome back to you as well! I like the muted colouring in your photo; I think it is the perfect choice. Autumn brings on lots of tidying up in the garden, as it does in early spring!

Raven74, great thinking outside of the box! Shaggy coats and long whiskers are definite indicators of autumn!

Tickly_rain, you’ve captured a beautiful autumnal canopy scene, I wish I had that colour in my area but the tropics won’t oblige me.

Susie25, what lovely bokeh in your photo. This is what autumn looks like to many of us in the warmer parts of Australia.

Madreader
, those leaves look delicate enough to make me think they were flower petals at first! Lovely delicate image, and the crack in the pavement have the double effect of looking like a peace symbol. Well captured!

Jupiter123, I really like the perspective in your photo and beautiful bokeh too. I think you are correct, cropping would alter the unusual perspective too much, so good call.

Superman+4sisters, now that is what I call thinking outside the box! Nice negative space and lighting and a lovely simple image. My DH can demolish a whole bag of mandarins in one sitting if I allowed him!

PrincessPinkenIT, yup, the hot water is flowing profusely in this household too! For DH that means coffee and for me it means tea. Nice perspective and capture of the twin flows.

So, the trouble I had picking the winner came down to choosing between two of the more traditional “autumn” images and two that were not so traditional. All were beautifully photographed and the photographers were Mummy26, Abbygirl, Raven74 and Superman+4sisters.

However, I was particularly taken with the clever idea and thought put into the image of the mandarin, so this weeks challenge winner is

Superman+4sisters!! biggrin.gif

Thanks again everyone!

Congratulations - lovely shot!

I didn't get an entry in this week. Ridiculously busy with work and a busy social life to boot means I didn't even pick up my camera.
