OtherMother - It sounds promising, despite the bfn. I'm sending baby dust your way. hheart.gif

riwymk - I'm glad your DS and yourself are feeling better. Here's hoping he is able to stay at school all day. It's so horrible when your babies are sick. I hope AF stops soon. Good luck with the opks this month.

AFM - I started getting sore boobs last night, and instead of getting less lethargic as I get better, I'm feeling more so. I've never had this with AF coming on before. Does anyone know if your symptoms for AF could change after a miscarriage?

OtherMother - that does sound promising despite the BFN.

riwymk - I hope AF hurries up for you and you can get going again.

Lcasey - your symptoms are sounding promising too! I'm not sure about hormones/symptoms changing after a miscarriage. But I know hormones can be affected by stress - I have started getting severe PMT since we moved house 6 mnths ago - I think just from the increase in stress/lack of time, as well as drinking too much tea and coffee. This month I am really really going to cut down - limit myself to one cup of tea and coffee per day - instead of about 5-6 cups of tea and 1-2 coffees! I have kind of been in denial I am having so much (mainly because it warms me up in winter), but I don't think it's good for TTC. Unfortunately I hate herbal or fruit teas - only like things you can have milk in. Redbush/Rooibos tea is semi-okay and tastes good with milk so may have to switch to it now.

Well I have been having nausea again so just tested again this morning - but BFN. DH came home very sick last night with a fever and nausea - so probably my nausea is from the illness. He is home today sick, but his fever seems to have gone so he isn't too sick atm. It's quite nice to have him home for the day. I am now wishing AF would hurry up and come so I can get onto the next cycle.

Lcasey - Not sure about AF after miscarriage, but those symptoms sound promising original.gif

tazcan - I've been feeling quite nauseous too, no idea why, as obviously I'm not pregnant.

We DS is home early. He seemed fine though & wasn't anywhere near as grumpy & sore as he looks when his ear is really giving him grief, so sending him to school tomorrow with panadol & the office can give it to him if he needs it. Just ordered OPK's on ebay, hopefully I get them by the end of the week.

I'm out for the month ladies. AF arrived late this afternoon sad.gif .
Oh well, there's always next cycle. It's probably worked out better that I didn't fall pregnant this cycle as the one thing I didn't account for was my private health insurance. I only took up hospital cover in July and the fund I'm with has a 9 month waiting period for maternity so I would have just scraped in if I'd gone full term. If I'd come less than a week early I would have been in a pickle blush.gif .

I have no idea what was going on with all my crazy symptoms this cycle though. Maybe I was just more acutely aware of symptoms than normal. I swear I've never had sore breasts before AF before so that's a bit of a conundrum. Anyway, onwards and upwards everyone!

riwymk fingers crossed your OPK's arrive asap. I hope your DS is feeling much better tomorrow.

tazcan hopefully AF stays away for a good reason! I was drinking a lot of coffee too and have just switched to decaf in the last couple of weeks.

Lcasey I had a miscarriage at 14 weeks prior to having my boys but I can't really say whether my symptoms changed as a result. I actually didn't get AF for 8 months after my miscarriage and then was lucky enough to fall pregnant with my boys in the cycle following, so didn't have to worry about it until after they were born. As others have said though our cycles and hormones can be impacted by so many things. Stress is so sneaky - we may not even be aware of it but it can still have such a big impact on our bodies. I hope the nausea abates soon.

OtherMother - oh no - your symptoms were sounding good for a BFP. I guess it is better to get a BFP next month though - so you can rest easy knowing you are covered for private health ins.

riwymk - I hope your DS is ok now. It's hard to decide what to do when they are looking forward to something at school but you're not sure how well they are. I am going to hop onto Ebay too and order some OPKs. I guess if the lines start getting darker it means start getting busy, and then when it starts to fade that means O happened the day before - so then I will know how many dpo's I am.

Lcasey - Let's hope you get a BFP.gif so at least one of us can get a BFP for the month! I think you said the earliest you could test was Fri?

AFM - I have pre-AF spotting this morning so tonight is probably when she will make her grand arrival. DH told me last night that he has two lots of travelling for work coming up in the next month- each a few days long. So I quickly did some calculations - luckily his first lot of travelling starts on day 15 of my next cycle so I should have definately O'd by then. I would have been livid if it meant we were going to miss O for the next cycle.

tazcan - Yes, I've just cut back on coffee, and am trying different herbal teas. there are some that are wonderful to just sit there in the peace of post-bed-time-battles and just chill... Especially my camomile. But I think I'll do some research about some teas that are safe or conception/ pregnancy (I had thought Teas were safe. unsure.gif .That sucks about af, but at least it looks like your DH's travel plans are not going to interfere with timing (Fingers crossed for you). I hope your luck is better next month.

riwymk - Poor kid. sad.gif It sounds like he's well and truely on the mend though. so that's good.

OtherMother -Good luck next cycle. Glad you've got a silver lining.

Thanks girls for your thoughts on symptoms. I might go post a question in another section about it.

AFM - I started getting some of the dull cramping I get pre AF this arvo. So I'm hoping that af stays away, but I'm not too confident about it happening this month. We'll see. I am not due to start until Monday. So there are still a few days to go.

OtherMother - Sorry the witch found you, but like you said, on the plus side next month is better due to PHI. Those symptoms are crazy though. Maybe they were phantom symptoms, like all us women get while we're TTC. Our bodies like to play tricks on us sometimes lol

tazcan - Thanks for that little tip original.gif I'm really not sure how using OPK's will work out, but I will start doing them as soon as I get them. AF is finished today, so hopefully if I get them tomorrow I can do one.
I'm with you, I only bought 10 as well. It WILL be our month biggrin.gif

Lcasey - Fingers are still crossed that AF stays away for you.

AFM - DS is better. Didn't need panadol at all yesterday & stayed at school all day & hasn't been complaining that his ear is hurting, so these ab's are working thank god.
Hopefully I get these OPK's today.

riwymk - lucky you that AF has ended you can get going with the next cycle.

I had a 26 day cycle - AF arrived properly this morning with lots of back pain and cramping at 4am mad.gif So of course I lay in bed not sleeping and trying to ignore it for ages before getting pain killers. So day 1 today.......
I keep thinking it's Friday today for some reason, come on the weekend!
