I would probably stay home and just make do with what we have - perhaps get DH to pop to the service station for any essentials that were totally out such as milk or bread.
If you do decide to go do what BornToLove said: Bring a list and work fast. But don't go down the isles in order - get the most important things first. Might take a bit longer over all but at least you can cut to the checkout if DS decides enough is enough. |

I'd go but probably turn back half way there as the car would knock mi out. Also if I need to go shopping there is normally a good reason as I live out of town and can't just pop down to the shops. Also it can help just to get them into a different environment, something different

I'd go to the shops. If the worst thing that happens is the kid chucks a wobbly and cries in the pram, then its really not that terrible.
I used to worry about that sort of thing with DD1 but now I realise it doesn't matter. Kids cry. They act up. They throw tantrums. They have crappy days. Its just what they do. You can't hide yourself away in case of it happening, just go out there and get done what you need to do. Go to your happy place and ignore the whinging. And stock up on wine and chocolate |
