T2Mum - Our modem broke and we've had sick kids for a week, so I've only just got back online today. Have sent you the details, let me know if you don't get them.

Jess1980 - I am 29 weeks today and could not think of anything worse than a 6 hour car trip, with or without stops. My husband wanted to go 2 hours away in 2 weeks time, and I told him to enjoy himself, as I wouldn't be joining him. But everyone is different, and I am sure there would be others (like Sammitty) who travelled far distances their whole pregnancy. So maybe just go with the flow a bit and see how feel leading up to it.

LongLegEd - Good to see you again the other day. Will try to PM you to see if it works that way around.

AFM - I can very much relate to LongLegEd. It's definitely a 28 week thing. I always had it in my head that April would get hard, and May would be ridiculous. I now think April is ridiculous and May will be a complete joke. Sorry to all that are behind us with the joys of the third trimester still to come.

I am in physical discomfort all the time with it getting really bad in the afternoons. By the evenings I am just in agony and completely pooped. So today I woke up and decided that I am not doing anything else other than looking after me, my babies and my little kids. I will continue to do the laundry for as long as I can as I hate others doing that, but that's it. Everything else can sort itself out. Someone will do it at some point. And who knows I might even help out with extra bits if and when I can.

That is my epiphany for the day. Or maybe the year.

I can't believe that you managed to hang in there until 28 weeks. You are still doing laundry????

My philosophy is that I won't be able to do ANYTHING for ANYONE once the babies arrive, so I'm doing them a favour by not doing anything now. Gives them plenty of time to get used to it. I am making an exception for my 17 month old who had her tonsils out last week. My 4.5 year old is resisting but hopefully slowly getting used to the idea. Mike the Knight and In the Night Garden are getting a frequent playrun!

Quite frankly I am struggling at 22 weeks - I think my pelvis is starting to give up the ghost (have found a good physio though), so I don't even want to think about 28 weeks and what that feels like!!

NYB - hope that the next couple of months are not as bad as you fear. (and thanks for the PM - received it safely!)

Renmaro - also hoping that you and your bubbies are OK.

I'm very excited today - 22 week OB appointment and all going well!! Grow babies grow!!

Hey T2 - that's great news that everything is going . Except the pelvis. Good that you have found a good physio though.

I have had extremely bad pubic symphysis pain in my previous pregnancies from very early on, and was told that it would be worse this time. But haven't had it at all thank goodness. My hips are bad though and it feels like my right leg will snap off at some point, but it is much more bearable than anything in previous pregnancies. So far anyway.

Hi girls,

Wanted to let you all know that the babies are hanging 'in there' still! Not sure for how much longer though - last Tues appt went ok, growth while not great was acceptable and doppler blood flows have started to show changes but are still within acceptable range. Specialist said I 'should get another week', that freaked me a bit as although I've known for a while I could deliver early I guess I was in denial a bit. Another week??? I'm NOT ready. There's so much to do still - but won't there always be! But the great news is I'm now 32 weeks!!! So the babies have a really good chance if they were to come now.

Won't do in depth personals as I'm attempting to tackle lots of my to do list over the next couple of days.

But a few things I remember from previous posts....

NYB - I can't believe that awful day you had at RPA with appts and your 17 mth old in tow!! Let's hope that doesn't happen again.

Can't remember who asked about 6 hr travel at 30wks but I think I could have physically done it. Not sure if it would be fun with the other kids to entertain too though. Also I will not currently travel more than about 60 mins away just in case I need to get to the hospital. Something else to consider is the car shopping you have to do when you get there. YUCK! We sorted ours out at about 20 weeks and it was a nightmare then. Perhaps a Plan B would be wise.

In comment to the physical discomfort of the 3rd trimester. I'm surprised to find that personally it isn't as bad as I expected (thus far). Yes I am constantly tired but I am still able to do most things - cooking, cleaning, washing, bathing the kids etc. My feet have really swollen in the last week (not unusual for me) which means I'm a bit slower though and I've started to get carpel tunnel in my hands (which is unusual for me), I do groan alot at night when I'm rolling from one side to the other too. I wonder sometimes if I'm coping ok because I have smaller babies on board but my fundal height measures at 42 weeks and I'm only 158cms!

I will try to update when I can but I wanted to thank you girls for your support and wish you all the best for your pregnancies, births and beyond x

Oh hello there Renee! I opened this nervously I must say. I am soooo glad your bubs are still in there!!!

And yes you have made it to a great gestation if they come along in the next week. What a relief. I hope you are hanging in there mentally and taking it somewhat easy. Don't worry about the fact that you have lots to do. It will all fall into place when it needs to.

So glad that you will get to 32 weeks Renee! I hope that everything goes as smoothly as possible and that other family members / friends come and help you with those nagging items on your to do list. Try not to worry about them - you just focus on looking after yourself and your beautiful babies.

Hi everyone

Hope you are well. I was hoping someone would be able to help. I have my NT scan on Monday and am pregnant with twins. I am battling to find online info with regards to results. How do they combine the blood info and scan info if you have more than one baby? Are they able to calculate risk?

With DS the risk was calculated at something like 1:40,000. I'm 29 so hoping age is on my side.

How did your scan go?

When I had mine I never really got a number just got told I was low risk, Id already decided it didnt matter what the result was I wouldnt go for further testing or anything so havent really worried about it. I did get told sometimes its harder to measure on twins but dunno if that is true. I was low risk with my first daughter and couldnt get in to have an ultrasound with my second daughter because of where I live so didnt worry about it. Goodluck with everything
