Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup. It's really good.

I definitly recommend this! It's the only foundation that I found will stay on my oily skin. If you do try it, apply it with clean fingers, Using a brush can apply it too thick and you end up looking cakey and fake. I also use Estee Lauder Smoothing Matte Base primer underneath. It really helps control oil (but nothing will stop it completely unfortunately)

I found that any tinted moisturiser was too oily, including the Garnier BB cream.

Trial and error, and get samples if you can!

MAC Studio Fix. Fantastic and you're not like an oil slick at the end of the day. They do a great primer too.

I also have the Garnier BB but I'm as shiny as a new car a few hours after.

I was going to say this as well as I have MAC Studio Fix and my skin is quite dry and it doesn't work with my skin at all. I think it would be great on oily skin.

I have bought a million different things, of all different prices. I have ditched foundation for everyday wear now, and use the relatively cheap compact powder made by Australis. It holds the shine back brilliantly with great coverage. If you are interested I will raise my a$$ and have a look at what it is called, there are a couple different ones. (I think they are $12) BONUS!

Thanks for all the advice ladies biggrin.gif

I ended up buying a 'mattifying primer' for oily skin and then I got L'Oreal infallible never fail foundation. It says that it fights makeup meltdown so hopefully with the primer and this I should get a better result!! If not, they are relatively small bottles so can try another one of your suggestions next time! I was going to go looking for the Mac but couldn't get to Myer today.

Thanks!!

AllieD i can see you've found something to try...hope it works for you. Just in case it doesnt thought i'd add my 2cents worth!

I also have oily skin since coming off BCP and tend to get a few breakouts at certain points in my cycle.

Make sure as others have said to have a good base before applying. I dont use a primer day to day but i really make sure to use a very light moisturiser (Olay Complete Defence Sensitive) otherwise it doesnt matter what i put over it...it will smudge and look horrible and oily.

I have found the mineral makeups to be terrible...a few hours and its grease city!!

I've found a great wet/dry compact by Natural Compatibles which works really well.

Hope your choice works well for you!!
