Hi ladies!!

sorry for such a delay in communication from me!!! as you all guessed my little man arrived the day after my last post..... on his due date!!!!

am totally in love although this newborn stage is far more crazy than I ever realised!! surviving on very little sleep but we are getting there!! having issues with breastfeeding but again my midwives have been helping loads and think we are on the mend!

birth story will follow when I get time but amazingly managed to do it panadeine alone...!! still not sure how but it was amazing and very very intense!!!

hope all you ladies are well - I will read up on you all when I get a sec.....

who is next to pop?...

Hi girls,

Sorry for my lack of post. So went in for my induction last Saturday morning after a couple of false alarms and I was 4cm before they began. I was started on syncto and had my water broken, contractions became pretty intense within about 45 mins. I made it to about 90 mins before deciding to get an epidural, I thought I was being a massive wus but turns out I had progressed to 8-9cm in that time so I actually did pretty well. The epidural was an ordeal, I have a damage lower spine and it took the anethetist 4 tries and about 30 minutes of prodding to get it in, the contractions were the worst during this bit but it was worth it once she finally got it in and I got some relief. It took 90% of the pain away but I could still feel when the contractions were happening and the pressure changing which was good as it meant I could tell the midwife when I thought baby was ready about and hour later and I was able to feel what I was doing when the pushing started something I didn't have last time. Alexis Vera (Lexie) was born at 1.15pm after less then 4hrs labour, weighing 3.22kg, 47cm long and beautiful.
She is settling in well, and I feel like I'm recovering quicker then I did with my first.
I was worried about bonding second time around but it was so natural I feel like she's always been mine.

Hope you are all well holding your bubs or counting down xx
