Hi... i'm swaying girl. I got positive opk today.
Therefore thinking i should try o + 12.
So if I got positive opk then I assume I ovulate in the hext 24 hours. So if I BD on Monday would that be a good chance for o + 12 ?

If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

thanks original.gif

Hi Ladies, how is everyone going? I haven't had much time to come in and post lately, life has been very busy and stressful but all back to normal which is good. I am currently on CD4 and we are definitely going to TTC this month. I am a bit concerned with cut off though, as my DH is going to be away and will get home about day-2 if my cycle is similar to last month. AF came a day earlier again this much, meaning only 25 day cycle. Have doctors appointment this Wednesday to discuss.

Avonlea - Hi, I think that sounds about right. You are suppose to O about 24-36 hours after the positive opk. There is a great post on the ingender website all about 0+12. Worth a read I would say if you haven't read it. Let me know if you haven't read it and I will post the link.

Where is everyone else up to in the cycles?

tarnee i dont know if multiple days of positive OPKs are normal, but there do seem to be lots of people that get them. i think it is "normal" to get 1-1.5 days but i dont think it is normal to get 5 like me this month LOL. hope the lines have faded now for you.

avonlea i dont know about the 0+12 but if you are swaying for a girl i would be wary of BDing so close to ovulation.

LO123 that sucks your DH is going to be away so close to the most vital part of the month.

afm 5DPO here. i seriously should get DF to confiscate and hide my HPTs until a decent testing date, as i couldnt help myself and did one this morning (BFN of course) hoping i can hold off until at least tuesday now - wed, thur or fri would be better though, but i dont like the chances of that LOL

Hi there,
just wanted to pop in and let everyone know our GS was not successful, we were swaying for a girl, but clearly are having a boy! biggrin.gif
That puts us as conceiving boys in a row......super sperm my Husband!
I can see we perhaps went a day too close to ovulation, and with my DH's sperm so strong it meant a blue baby.
I went into this gender swaying very happy to just have another baby, try our luck and take what we get. Now we know it's a boy, it just feels so very right......mind you names are a challenge!
At least we were successful with our boy sway so I feel like we got one right LOL!!!
I wish you all the very best with your swaying, but moreso with falling pregnant, such a miracle in itself!
xxx

szj - Congratulations on your pregnancy! Thank you for coming in and updating us. It's always nice to hear. Sorry your sway didn't go as planned but good to hear you are excited. At the end of the day, a healthy baby is the most important thing original.gif

Also, I agree, boys names are so much harder....

Jemso - I had positive Opk's up until lunchtime the following day, so pretty much 1.5 days. Thanks again for your help!

I too am a POAS stick addict. Last month I spent around $50 on pregnancy tests. If only I had realized at the time how much cheaper they are on line, it wouldn't gave been quite so bad. I've now got 10 sitting here waiting to use (came with Opk's) and I know they'll be wasted, testing WAY too early, just in case!

Good luck and keep us updated!

LO123 - Glad things are back on track and that you've decided to officially start this month. It's very exciting! Good luck for your doctors appointment too!

Avonlea - Good luck with your O+12 attempt. I wish now I had of tried that this cycle as I just started Opk's and have found them to be great and I would have felt confident BDing today whereas before I had no idea when o was exactly. If this month is a BFN, I will try next cycle. I'll be interested to hear how it goes for you!

FYI, I got a positive Opk on Friday evening and O'd definitely the next day. If I was doing it, I would have BD earlier today as all o signs had finished and I'd had a temp rise too. Good luck!

AFM- Officially 1DPO. Opk's were the best thing I've ever done and wish I'd started months ago. They have definitely helped me read the signs and I definitely o'd yesterday. I don't know exactly when but lots of changes that I would normally not have noticed or overlooked. I even had the temp rise this morning to confirm it.

I'm worried now that if pg it won't be pink as we didn't have a lead up only BDing three times before instead of solid BDing and our last BD was 1.5-2 days prior to O....
