Oh Bini bbighug.gif bbighug.gif Can the doctor do anything for you?? I do hope it's not painful sad.gif

Eks - bbighug.gif bbighug.gif Sorry to hear about you DH but I'm sure it'll be fine. Don't panic unless there's a reason to (easier said than done I know). Just try to remain calm for bub's sake if nothing else. Glad you have a work replacement now though. Small wins chick xx

It's not painful at all. It's purely a "looks" thing. I spoke to my GP about the puffiness in general yesterday and he wasn't too worried.

Eks - definately sounds like a call to the hospital is in order - if only to put you at ease.

SSP - yes i have milk in my cereal - I measure it out as part of my carb count though??

General Q's i have been thinking today...

1) I haven't even thought to get a mattress protector for the cot - is this a good idea or will huggies do the job?

2) I am going to attempt to put stickers on the nursery wall today....any tips? They are the removable type. If you are totally bored here is the link to have a snoop:

http://www.cocalo.com/item.asp?id=1039&...oll=&cat=32

They are called Caramel Kisses in Aust, Sweet Latte in the USA.

LM - I love those stickers - I wish I'd shopped around for some more before we bought ours - I am planning on doing ours this week - so any tips will be greatly received!

Eks - Sorry to hear about your DH but usually the doc wont say there's nothing to worry about unless they're pretty sure - I know this wont stop you worrying!! Yey for finding a replacement and that you don't have too long to go! xx

Bini - Sorry about the puffy face - That would drive me mad!!! Are you keeping hydrated?

SSP - I'l fill in a survey for you when they're ready - you just let me know!

Work is proving problematic - can't think why but I seem to be a bit distracted! wwhistle.gif

Just a quick one before my boys kill each other huh.gif

Moshi - I just sent your parcel. The lovely lady behind the counter gave me a lesson on which parcel bags to use and which services because I always pick the most expensive way apparently! She said for the parcel I sent you I could have gotten it much cheaper in a prepaid satchel and even express post would have been cheaper! Sorry, I'd already addressed it so couldn't arrange that for you, hope it doesn't take too long!

xx

Do you drink any extra milk/dairy though?? Good that you're remembering to count it as carb but sometimes the sugar in milk is too much for some people. You may need to cut it out if you don't have low calcium.

In answer to your Qs

1) I'd get a mattress protector - just in case!!

2) Drool - love the colour. Makes me want a coffee cry1.gif lol

Nicky - thanks wub.gif I'm also distracted at work. lol between FB, EB and the business I don't have time to train people and write manuals.. wwhistle.gif

I've already forgotten everything I have just read from you girls ddoh.gif

Saw my MW yesterday and baby is in the 95 percentile, so shes huge apparently. I'm still having a 36 week scan and I have to see my midwife again literally straight after and have to talk to an OB. She did say we probably will induce at 38 weeks, but if babies size has slowed down a bit they will let me go full term but not past four days over my due date. Which means I should definitely have a baby by the 22nd/23rd of March I guess.

It's stupid I was kind of happy because I thought it would be good to know when she is coming, but now I really want to do things naturally and just wait and not force her out.

This may be a really stupid question but if she is big for her size does that mean shes unhealthy and there's more risks for her? I forgot to ask my midwife yesterday.

And, I'm really sorry to everyone who has me on FB because I am such a whinger ATM, I've been really sick the last few days (not pregnancy related) and I have been stuck in bed with only my phone. My DP had to take yesterday off to take care of me and my Dad is coming over today as well so I am not alone.

Back to bed for me now anyway, don't even think I can pick up my beautiful new car cry1.gif And had to cancel my trip to Perth for this weekend, DP is still going but we decided it wouldn't be a good idea for me to go as MW and GP want me to rest as much as possible.

ETA: And look I just wrote another huge whingey all about me post, sorry. LOL

I asked and Dr said it just means forceps for delivery and a bit complicated delivery, I feel a bit bad giving you this infomation, might help you come thru with a bit more of optimisim. original.gif

I felt like I had gastro last night, has anyone else felt like this? I read pregnant ladies can have diahrroea before she goes into labour so of course I got a bit paranoid and I was induced with my previous and I don't recall bowel movements before, during or after. Although I'm done with all this(don't have the patience) I would love to for my waters to break first, so much less boring than being induced. This probably doesn't make sense much as I really did have the worst night and I have to go on public transport now for another scan and all I want to do is rest a bit. Has anyone else pregnant with a girl bubba felt dreadful. Don't the magazines say girls give us hell and boys don't? I'll post again tomorrow when Dr. has seen today's scan. I know,I'm whingey today, hohum.

moshi, I have felt anything but great for most of this pregnancy, I hate to say it but I haven't enjoyed it at all, and I'm having a boy so there goes that theory! My theory is that our bubs are just giving us grief now and they'll be perfect little angels once they arrive!

AFM, I rang the hospital and spoke to a midwife. She seems to think they are braxton hicks, apparently they don't always feel the way they describe them in the pregnancy books! She said if they start getting more intense, or have a definite pattern to them ie. coming in waves and lasting for definite periods of time etc or if I start bleeding or have any fluid leaks to go in straight away so they can stop what is most likely to be labour.

Sally - your baby shower gift will be in the post tomorrow, I went to the post office at lunch time today...and then realised I hadn't brought your address with me!

At my breastfeeding class on Friday night we watched this DVD and it was amazing seeing these tiny newborn babies finding the breast!! They wiggle and scoot around to get into position and use their cheeks to find the nipple - so clever!

Awww, this gave me warm and fuzzies wub.gif I didn't know they could do this. When DD was born she was put on my chest, but then the mw put her on the breast for her first feed. I would like to try it this way with my boy if I can, how amazing that they can find it themselves!

Moshi, I've always thought it was normal for a woman to naturally empty her bowels in pre/early labour, and I know I did with DD. That is why enema's are no longer routine. Each time I've been in hospital lately they have asked me if I have had diahrroea, as I think that is a sign of labour.
And as for girl babies giving you hell, My DD was a joy to carry, this baby however has not behaved nicely at all - and it's a boy! I just think every pregnancy is different and luck of the draw.

MzP, I hope you enjoy your class tonight. The tour is fun. It really hits home I think, that OMG "I'm having a baby!" Tell us all about it tomorrow.

SSP, I too would be upset at the surprise being ruined. Especially since you're so close to the finish line! The names are beautiful by the way original.gif
That's so exciting that you'll have a new business! I will definitely do your survey. Lucky you having a scan tomorrow. I bet she's spot on with her growth. I'm learning to not pay much attention to the percentiles and estimates. It gets us all worked about nothing really. Most of the time they are born average size anyway!

Fran bbighug.gif You poor chicken. I don't know how you feel, but I'm guessing it's not fun. I really hope you feel better soon and you can enjoy these last few weeks before baby arrives original.gif

Chrissy, yes you definitely need a personal censor!! My god woman, you'll have no time left to take a breath!! Be careful you don't push yourself to hard... This is when you're meant to be taking it easy and looking after yourself, not everyone else!!

Bini, bbighug.gif Goodness me, If the doctor says he's not worried I guess that's a good thing. Are they checking your blood pressure regularly? Maybe you could get something from a health food shop to help with fluid retention? I'm not sure but it might be worth looking into, just so you can feel a bit better original.gif

Eks, Im sorry to hear you've been getting pain. I too get period pain most days now. Kept me awake most of last night. My whole uterus goes rock hard at the same time so it's hard to sleep with that going on! Im glad you called the hospital to check though, better to be safe. And I'm sure you DH's results will come back fine. Easier said, but try not to worry too much.

Littlemiracle, I would definitely get a mattress protector, in fact I wouldn't be caught without one! I've got one on the bassinette and will have one in the cot too... Especially when they wet through in the middle of the night, it's enough to have to strip the linen and put dry stuff on, imagine if the mattress was soaked too!

AFM, Had the amniotic fluid test this morning, which was negative. Everything else looks fine, cervix is shut. I was awake all night with pain and tightenings. Im starting to think that I'm just really unlucky and this is what these last 6 weeks are going to be like for me. I really hope he's not overdue, omg, I don't think I could cope with that. After all this drama... he'd better show up at least 2 or 3 weeks early!!
Im feeling very sorry for myself today ddown.gif I was almost hoping that they would say this morning that the test was positive and I should go to melb and wait to go into labour... I think I'm just so sick of not knowing what's happening. Im trying to ignore any niggles and pains cause I don't want to go completely mad! I'll probably end up ignoring the real thing and have to rush to the hospital!!

Anyhoo, enough sooking from me!!
