Good Afternoon Everyone!

Eleven - I'm sure your DH understands! Damn hormones! Mine tend to make me a crying mess instead, I think my DH would prefer I was grumpy! I ended up getting my baby furntiure from ikea. Cheap compared to the baby stores and quite sturdy and easy to put together! I have the same stuff for DS and love it!

Nikkinunu - Good luck with your scan next week! Who would be more disappointed, you or your DH if you decided to find out or not? I was quite curious, but DH was adamant he wanted a surprise and I didn't want to ruin that for him. Good luck whatever you decide, can't wait to hear the news!

EllaMaree - i love reading when a new mum has decided to use cloth! I love it, there are so many fun designs you can have as well, good luck with it! We were in Perth when DS was born and he was another summer baby. Definitely singlets and nappies! Our aircon bill was fairly huge that summer!

Huxley - you can definitely put it in your birth plan. I would discuss it with your Ob. I have never had one, so can't give you any personal advice. Don't feel squeamish about discussing it though. They are going to see (and have seen) everything! And in regards to swaddling - I used a love to dream wrap me up with just a nappy underneath as DS was a summer baby too and it was fantastic.

gkdownes - great to hear your midwife appt so well, and awesome that everyone got to hear bubs HB!

Happydaisy - waves.gif

Essnm - still plenty of time to feel some movement, you will really enjoy it when you do!

Spitzmum - I know I said this in the fb group but congrats again on your little boy! Good luck picking a name!

Mrsmcb - you definitely got some bargains there, nice work!

buzz - I'm sure you will start feeling bubs soon! Its worth the wait!

jazzygal - how confusing about the acupuncture. Are you going to see the other Dr tomorrow?

Bluebird - I was always told to dress bubs one layer more than you are wearing as they find it hard to control their temp like we do. I soon learnt that my DS feels the heat like I do and learnt pretty quickly not to overheat him. So if I felt hot, i guessed he did as well. I remember one night dressing him in a wondersuit for bed (as everyone else bubs wore these at the time) and wondering why he wouldn't settle!! We relied fairly heavily on our aircon the first summer in Perth, so I was able to keep him in normal onesies etc.

AFM - Had my Ob appt and scan yesterday. All went well at the appt, BP is good, weight gain is still zero and bubs is growing well. Waiting on some blood tests to double check my thyroid meds dont need to change, but otherwise all good.

Scan left me a little nervous, but think I'm just being silly. They couldn't get good enough pics of bub's heart. I think it was just because bubs was being difficult and kept moving, but can't help but worry. Have to go back for a follow up completion scan on the 23rd. Sonographer was really good and did try, but I can't help but wonder if she noticed something and wanted to get really good pictures to double check. I know she couldn't personally tell me if something was wrong anyway, so hopefully there is no call from my obstetrician! You can all laugh at me in a couple of weeks when everything is ok. Such a worry wart!

Better dash, DS is waking from his nap!

*ShirleyTemple* im sure there is nothing to worry about, but i know what you mean. Pregnancy 'for me' is a never ending worry.

With DD they struggled to see what they needed with her heart, but after a walk, drink, empty of bladder they finally got what they wanted. I hope its the same for you. Did you find out the gender?

Hi to everyone else.

Oh to the PP asking about what bubs will wear when they are born, id say a nappy and singlet original.gif Then maybe a dress/ shortsleeve onsie when out but now with a singlet suit under unless its not that warm.

spotty.

I THINK I may have felt bub tonight!! Is it too soon? We were driving home from dinner out and I felt something like butterfly wings inside- down low on the right... It lasted at least 5 minutes! Is that normal? I also feel much less crazy tonight.... So nice to have dinner out with my lovely hubby ....

Hope all are well- will catch up on personals soon xx

I'm also a bit worried about what to dress bub in I know they say one more layer than you but I tend to feel the cold really easily so am really worried if I go by my cold I will overheat him/her guess it's something I'll work out as we go.

Eleven- that's wonderful news can't wait until I feel bub I had a flutter type thing a few weeks ago but nothing since then. I also know what you mean by being a crazy person lol DP and I had a big fight the other night with me ending up in tears for absolutely no reason I was just really cranky sad.gif hopefully we will both be back to ourselfs soon

AFM- appointment with my GP this afternoon original.gif have finally got DP to discuss names and we are down to 6 girls and 10 boys of which I picked my 3 fab girls and 4 fab boys just gotta get DP to do the same now and hopefully our favorites will overlap

Hope everyone else is Doing well

Spitzmum – thanks for the support. Good to hear your scan went well and congrats on the boy!

Gkdownes – how cool is it to hear the bubs heartbeat! Be glad you are just hungry, nausea isn’t pleasant to deal with all day long.

huxley – episiotomies! I’ve read that if you are going to tear, it’s better to have it happen naturally as it is an easier, more natural healing process. Dont be embarrassed to talk to your ob about it, they hear about it every day.

NikkiNuNu – good luck with your scan next week!

Shirleytemple – I cancelled that appointment with them so I could go elsewhere to get acupuncture sooner. I hope your completion scan gets you the reassurance you need

Eleven – me too, I think I’ve felt the bub a couple of times now, it’s definitely not to soon now. It sounds like its in the right spot...

Buzz – good luck with the names! We haven’t even started to think about names yet...

AFM
So, I spoke with my midwife about the acupuncture, and she said not to worry, that they are just covering themselves because I have been having it for so long. She said it was fine to shop around, so I have already had another session, which has helped. Scan next Tuesday, cant wait to see the bub and find out the sex

Hi ladies, hope were all well. How exciting, were all approaching the landmark 20 weeks!!!!!

So, for those not on FB, I had my 19 week scan yesterday.
The bub is perfect, measuring exactly to dates, and no issues from the scan.
I do however, have a slightly low placenta. Not what I wanted at all, but will have another scan around 34 weeks to see if it has migrated up.

Sorry for lack of personals, will try to BBL for some.
