Is there a move towards glass bottles due to BPA's in plastic? Or are BPA free plastic bottles just as safe?
I have read the pinned thread on BPA's and am looking for info on 'safe' bottles and suggestions of brands. TIA |

I don't know which is "safer" but we use glass bottles (the Happy Baby brand) - I prefer them, they are not going to leach any chemicals, they clean really well, last for ages and don't go all murky, yucky looking like plastic ones. For them to be really BPA free you need to change the teats to bpa free ones. A lot of people are surprised I let my toddlers use them but we have been using them for years and never once had a broken one - they are thick glass and have been dropped many times and don't seem to smash.
They can be a bit hard to find and anywhere from $7 -$15 each but a few chemists sell them and can order them in or I got all of mine from a baby and kids market (a lady was selling a whole box of unused ones for $5!). |
