Hi all,

I should know this already cause ive been through it with one child but do you think I can remember original.gif

My 10 & half month old son is still having 5 bottles a day. These are 180mls. Sometimes he drinks all sometimes he will drink half to three quarters.

He goes to day care 5 days a week, I send 3 bottles & he get 3 meals there. He has a bottle when we get home & then dinner, another bottle & bed. Over the weekend he hardly eats for me, I try to give him similar meals to daycare but he eats about half but still same bottles.

Should I be trying to reduce these?? Oh he doesnt generally drink water either. I do offer in sippy cup, he drinks some, spits some out & then plays with it.

DD was on 3, sometimes 2 at that age.

DD2 seems to be dropping to 3 at the moment at 7 months (I just follow their lead)

Hi my 10 month old has 4 cups of milk totaling 800mls for the day and 3 meals plus snacks.

She has just started to leave some in her cup, so Im thinking it will be 3 cups soon.

I am aiming by 12 months to get her on 3 serves of calcium with is the RDI, 250mls of milk is one serve, tub of yoghurt and piece of cheese are consider serves also.

If you slowly reduce the milk, I think you will find he will eat more, and remember you can include the milk in cereal and custard- maybe you can consider doing this instead of a bottle all the time.
