Hi All

After some EB words of wisdom and advise.

My 2 1/2 year old DS isn't TT and therefore wears a nappy at night. He is in a bed (no sleeping bag). This is a fairly recent thing. Another recent thing is the discovery of his penis. This is fine and natural but the part that is doing my head in is he plays with it and it ends up pointing upwards, hence wee comes out of the nappy and in turn wets the bed.

The past few days I have had to wash mattress protector, fitted sheet, flat sheet, doona and doona cover. Bit over the washing and wondered if people had some suggestions to combat this issue. A friend of mine suggested some sort of onsie outfit (that babies wear) and wondered if anyone has used these for toddlers or has any helpful suggestions.

Thanks

now I'm standing here, my heart so full I can't explain
Can you sew buttons and button holes in his pyjamas?

Or, Bonds make a singlet that snaps in the crotch, that might be helpful. I think they go up to size 2.

We're having this problem at the moment with DS1 who is bit over 2 1/2.

But what's causing it (i think anyway) is that he likes to sleep on his tummy and when he rolls over his singlet and top come out of his pants and the waist band of the pants is pushing the top of the nappy down. The nappy is always in tact and this is the only thing I can think of to explain it. The top of his pants are wet and sometimes the bottom of the singlet too.

Anyway now I've put him in a jumpsuit or short sleeve onsie and this seems to help.

I think a combination of the following might help:

Onesie undergarment/ singlet that has snaps in the crotch worn with a onsie pyjama on top. As a back-up buy a brolly sheet (online) which is a plastic backed sheet that goes on to ppof the bottom fitted sheet. This will at least protect the bottom sheet, mattress protector and mattress.

Good luck!
