Before you get pregnant, you might have all the boxes ticked, or you could be the 'let's just see what happens' type. No matter what your style, it can help to think about the emotional aspects of parenthood.
It dosen't sound like a great place to give birth, but in 2010, researchers from a German hospital used a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine to record a woman in labour.

This is such an astonishing tale, I can't bring myself to believe it.
I've just been diagnosed with PCOS, am on the pill, DH and I haven't had sex in 3 months, and within that time I have had both blood tests and ultrasounds (to diagnose PCOS - neither indicated that I was pregnant), and yet, last night and this morning received VERY strong positives. I did one test last night (can't remember brand and have thrown out box), and one this morning, both very strong - coming up well before the control line and a bit darker than it.
I'm freaked out. I didn't think this was going to be possible without surgery. We're not ready. Our house is a bomb site with no flooring. I have no maternity leave, and we have minimal savings. I want children with everything I have, but this doesn't feel right. I'm not prepared!!!
Is there any reason why two HPTs would come up positive when you're not actually pregnant? I'm seeing my GP tomorrow for a blood test, and hopefully a referral for an ultrasound, but this just cannot be happening. it's impossible. Just impossible.

Have you or haven't you had sex? If you actually haven't ha sex in three months, then you can't be pregnant. If you have had sex at least once in the past three months, then you could be. I'm presuming 'we haven't had sex in three months' is a bit of an exaggeration, because otherwise you wouldn't have taken the test?
A few mess can cause false positives, but it's not common! Congrats! Don't worry, everything else will fall into place!
Well if you really haven't had sex in 3 months and have had bloods and u/s done during that time that say not pregnant then it probably is wrong. Sometimes the body can play tricks on you. I would wait for a blood result, otherwise if you have had sex then you probably are pregnant.

No, unfortunately it has actually been about three months. A bit of a dry spell over here right now.
I took the test as I've just felt like crap for the last month, and I thought I'd do it to rule it out for my own peace of mind. Didn't expect this!
A mother sparked conversations around the world when she declared, in a national newspaper, that she wished she'd never had her two children. But her story can teach us a valuable lesson on parenthood.

While most women wouldn?t associate being a new parent with feeling more attractive, it seems men see it differently: they think they?re better looking than before they were dads.
