Well I thought this would happen, everyone has just dropped me like I have the plague,
no more drop ins for hot chocky, no mowing my lawn, no invites anywhere. I think this is the worst time, I feel so lonely and deserted, I knew it would happen but I dont even get any phone calls anymore. Oh well have to just get on with it and raise my kids the best I can. just a vent. BM |

hugs big mummy. We found the same thing awhile after my brother died, especially mum. It's as if people are over the mourning period and just feel uncomfortable and it's easier to avoid ...
It sucks so bad though, nobody else understands what you are going through and after the initial numbness it's when you need them most Big, big hugs x |

We joined a support group and it was a little odd, they seemed a bit airfairy for me
my kids need facts and good support not beating around the bush, I know that may sound odd but the kids came out saying " so what was that about"? and they are 9 and 6 they know everything and are ok with talking out the whole thing they know the facts and sore there dad dead, its me I think that needs help with where do I go now, I feel kind of lost and in limbo. |

I just came across this thread and wanted you to know that although I dont know you. I am sending you prayers and love. You have had a terrible time, as have your children. I too am in Sydney if you want to PM me. I think most people just dont know how to treat you once you've been through something like this. I really do hope things improve for you and your children soon.

Well things have just got worse if they can, I have been contacted by the truck company's insurance that hit my DH and they want me to pay the repairs to the truck. I just dont get it, isnt that what insurance is for. Apparently he has some kind of insurance that if his truck gets damaged he pays and the person at fault pays the damages back to him, Has anybody ever heard of this? They want me to pay $12,000 to the insurance company,
Ive handed it over to my solicitor but it sounds very dodgy to me, what kind of insurance is that? If its legitimate then we all need to go and get insurance against trucks, if we hit one we pay the repairs. Does anyone have any idea what this insurance is? BM |

That doesn't sound right, OP - and a truly horrible thing to be thrown at you.
It is a good idea to go through the solicitor on that one. And hugs - not something that should arrive in the mail... |

I'm sorry BM. I have never heard anything like that. I hope your solicitor can advise you.
