My war paint is Sharpie ink
Maybe 12 or so. It's painful and permanent. Not a decision for a 2 year old.

It was the sort of thing my friends did around their 12th birthday. I was closer to 20 when I had mine done.

In the meantime there are cute stick ons, necklaces and bracelets if your child is interested in that sort of thing.

I agree, when she's old enough to care for them herself, then I'd consider it.

Why not buy her some funky clip on earrings? Just as much fun to dress up in but much less chance of pain and infection.

I adore someone with Down syndrome
I've told my girls they can have their pierced when they are 13. No earlier.

This will be another one of those threads that ends badly as the piercing issue always does.... but what I have to keep reminding myself is that toddlers and kids don't know what they want!. That's why they have parents to make the decisions for them. My daughter also sees my 'picture' (ie. tattoo) on my back and wants one too, but it's OK to just say 'no'. Just get some clip on dress up ones instead.

Otherwise you'll be banished to EB hell for ever doing it. And in saying that, who cares what EB thinks. If you like it, do it.

OP I would go back and have a read through of other "pierced ears" threads. I am sure you will find your answer there.

For me, if I have a daughter, definitley not until 16 which is how old I was.

Not before 16.

And seriously, you are suggesting that your 2yo is quite grown up for her age!?! She's a baby FGS. She has no capacity to make such a decision. Be the grownup and tell her no.

My thoughts exactly. OP, you HAVE to know how these threads end?

Your 'independent' 2 year old probably wants to do everything you do. Mine wanted to drink beer on Saturday... ddoh.gif
